It was around 2003 or so when I first listened an album by Orbital at all (In Sides) and the blue album came out next year and was kind of new and I really liked it at the time. So maybe there is some nostalgia involved

Yeah, those two drag the album down, but 'One Big Moment', 'Distractions', 'New France', 'Stringy Acid' and 'Where is it Going' are all superb. The fact that, before the album came out, they trailed the album with 'Never' and 'Straight Sun' (both ok but kinda b-side standard really) and 'Beelzedub' and the title track basically stopped me from actually buying it until months after it came out, so I ended up really, really pleasantly surprised at how good the rest of the record was. So that probably colours my view of it, in that I might enjoy it more than I would otherwise. But generally I do find it a fun album for the most part.Dennis wrote:although I don't see Wonky much higher with stinkers like beezledub and that awful titletrack on it
It is quite lovely. A nice interview discussing the process that went into recording "Dionysus."Ross wrote:Dead Can Dance - Dionysus

No Sounds Are Out Of Bounds (2018)
They still got it... brilliant stuff, great album altogeher. Probably my favorite since 2007's The Dream. Merry Christmas!
