Enofa is the one making all those incredible videos (that I am very very very behind with, they're still to release Lifeforms from where I've got to )
Re: Fractional Difference - Exploring FSOL song-by-song
I've loved every single video I've watched so far, but yes, I am also pretty far behind on these

Not me -- I caught up
You're doin' too much, do less.
Re: Fractional Difference - Exploring FSOL song-by-song
Final video of the 1990s, covering the summer '97 transmissions, EBV records, and a brief note on a couple of remixes.
Not gonna lie, there's a touch of sadness for me here, as it kind of marks the end of FSOL as we knew them. It's ten years since Bacteria from a Baboon's Stomach, which is practically only a quarter of their career, but it's the one that defines them, and more importantly it's the only one where Brian and Gaz were regularly in the studio working on actual FSOL material together. And I'd love to have heard what would have become the fifth FSOL album in '98, had it come out that way.
Few changes coming up next time!

Fantastic work! I've really been enjoying these videos. I'm not sure If I have heard the final Fun Radio transmission before. I was trying to find it but I have had no luck.

Loving listening to these.Ive got to admit after Dead Cities was where it started to go downhill for me.I have a very hazy memory of going to see what must have been a Gaz dj set / Amorphous thing in the early 2000s in London, maybe at Ocean but being massively disappointed as I was expecting more 90s style FSOL. I've tried finding some info online but nothing.

It was on YouTube for ages, seems to have disappeared now though. Away at the moment but when I get back I’ll see about getting a copy online somewhere. There are quite a few bootlegs missing from YT I should see about getting online.
Could have been the Winter Chill in 2001, there was also a late ‘01 mini-tour which might have done some London stuff. It’s hard to tell, there was never any promotion for live stuff at all, so there’s probably stuff that I haven’t got listed.beetles wrote: ↑Tue Dec 03, 2024 11:40 am Loving listening to these.Ive got to admit after Dead Cities was where it started to go downhill for me.I have a very hazy memory of going to see what must have been a Gaz dj set / Amorphous thing in the early 2000s in London, maybe at Ocean but being massively disappointed as I was expecting more 90s style FSOL. And yeah, I get why some people don’t vibe with the psych stuff at all. We’ve not got ten chapters of Amorphous or Amorphous-adjacent material coming up (by which time I’ll be absolutely fucking sick of psych), so I’m expecting maybe slightly fewer viewers for a while. To be honest, I really like the ‘01-‘02 period, but a lot of the stuff coming after that will have me waiting impatiently for FSOLDigital to launch so I can get back to the reason I’m such a big fan.

That would be excellent if it's not too much of a problem to do.

Winter Chill sounds familiar - maybe it was that.
I'm gonna try and plough through all the psych stuff. It might be difficyult!

Bit of a jumble this week, Stakker, PNG and Accelerator reissues, Mello Hippo Disco Radio Shows, The Big Chill, Robert Miles remix…
Re: Fractional Difference - Exploring FSOL song-by-song
a.k.a. the 'just give us something .... anything, i don't care if it's any good' era
Re: Fractional Difference - Exploring FSOL song-by-song
Yes, it was slightly slim pickings, although I'm still enormously fond of the Simian and Blue States PNG remixes.
