Is it me or the New opening theme for Doctor Who really sucks - audio and visual too!
- Well, the visual may be acceptable but the audio... well... sucks...

You mean the arrangement, or production, or both? God knows why they have to tinker with it all the time. What can beat the Peter Davidson theme...
Re: What are you watching at the moment? (TV, DVD,whatever)
The original one, of course.
The wailing synth that does the lead melody is pretty terrible, although I do like the tubular bells, so it's a mixed bag. I'm not especially fond of any of the post-'70s arrangements of the theme. I suppose the Davison era one was reasonable enough, but none of them capture the mood of the (various edits of) Delia's original.

The NEW STAR TREK series!!! - Finally - it's been 12 years without Star Trek series...
Star Trek: Discovery - pretty solid start - I must say I was pleasantly surprised overall - I expected much much worse (since it's 2017 and all those stupid quasi-sci-fi trends and all that...)
So yeah, we're in for an enjoyable season....

Yeah a friend of mine is a big Star Trek head and was dreading this new series in trashing the legacy but ... like you he was pleasantly surprised too !

This randomly started playing on my youtube feed last night.
If you like weird, beautifully produced, futuristic art, both visual and sonical, then it's essential.
And a demoscene documentary, as to how the scene built up.
