Agree, Viewed from a Rural Hill is top tier FSOL ambience. Wells Cathedral is a great soundscape, and I like Source of Uncertainty.

First three are too art installation for me to sit down and listen to specifically, and I love super ambient material so a bit surprising. May be in the background ...

Any idea if these printing effects appear on the relatively recently repressed vinyl versions?

I'll compare later but interfaced to my sofa listening to the wondrous Environment Five at the moment....

Interesting insight Enofa, thanks. Especially the comment on E7.003. That whole trilogy is my favourite release of their’s in years (since Environment 5 for me), with 003 probably the best of the three.

Album has been described as the best thing the creators of The Future Sound of London and The Amorphous Androgynous have ever done. By who ... people that have only heard this one album :D

I hope not. As with most great musical groups it's the sum of the parts and the diversity that brings, that makes them truely great. FSOL a case in point.

The February Spherica is the first 'Calendar' track ever not to have its own unique artwork. A trend for 2025?

Oh good to know Calendar tracks are continuing. I didn't get a Bandcamp email by 31 Jan, so feared they weren't happening. No time to check Bandcamp or here until now. I think I say every year...phew once the January track is posted.

I'll confess I wouldn't have recognised the young Gaz if it was so obviously about FSOL!!

First I ever heard that Yage was just Brian. Was this known to others?

Based on the Yage album it always sounded like a Gaz influenced album. I always assumed it was both of them. But what do I know?!! Love that Yage album.
