Just got back from Canada yesterday - was up for 30+ hours because I can't sleep on a plane... and in half an hour I'm off to work.

But I did manage to listen to the new Orb album yesterday afternoon when I got home and am sneaking in a second listen now before I leave. Sounds really good, like a mix between recent-ish stuff like Baghdad Batteries and some parts of The Dream, but with elements of earlier stuff in there too.

Except for maybe Metallic Spheres, I'd say this is their best album since Cydonia - and it'll probably sound even better after more listens.

did you go to the world cup or something?

Nah, just a holiday, have family over there that I was visiting.

Is it just me, or since maybe around Okie Dokie, have The Orb started sounding more and more like Lemon Jelly?
