A Monstrous Psychedelic Bubble – The Wizards Of Oz
Re: A Monstrous Psychedelic Bubble – The Wizards Of Oz
I'm listening to this now, very nice so far. Bizarrely the Melissa track on the first disc reminds me of one of the more psychedelic Supergrass numbers. I like the package and how it folds out to show the whole artwork. One funny point is how the last track on each disc is listed as a bonus track. Was I not paying attention at some point? Is that to be not included on the vinyl? That's still a lot of tracks to fit on a couple of slabs of groovy plastic.
I like the disclaimer about Kongress strictly actually being American but that Geoffrey Crozier was once in them who actually was an Aussie. Artist license innit?!

Dell, the double vinyl will have 16 or 18 tracks, unmixed / unedited (original) versions of the tracks,
which means about half of the tracks that the CDs have will not be present on the vinyl.

Hmm, the bonus tracks thing is a bit of a mystery then. As far as I can determine there's just two formats, CD and vinyl, unless the one that's being posted out in the UK differs in some way to the one already released in Australia.

I asked, the CD packs and the audio are exactly the same, Aussie and UK.
The bonus tracks are bonuses probably because they don't flow in the Mix, but they liked those tracks very much so they included them.
The bonuses aren't segued/mixed, they just play, after the mix finishes...

i don't really get why peeps would want unmixed albums when there is a mixed option to be had
especially for something like a compilation like this
i get the DJ aspect but can't imagine this is the only line of thinking when these type of dual releases are put out

Re: A Monstrous Psychedelic Bubble – The Wizards Of Oz
So why hasn't this been released in mp3 and FLAC alongside vinyl/CD?
Re: A Monstrous Psychedelic Bubble – The Wizards Of Oz
Listening to the CD now - on track 12 of disc 1 - really enjoying it so far
Re: A Monstrous Psychedelic Bubble – The Wizards Of Oz
I notice they have Bubble Volume 3 on fsoldigital, but out of stock. Don't suppose it's likely to come back in stock? Now that I've heard Volume 4, I feel I need all the others!
Re: A Monstrous Psychedelic Bubble – The Wizards Of Oz
They'd have to go through the licensing process again so it's very unlikely the first three will be repressed.
Re: A Monstrous Psychedelic Bubble – The Wizards Of Oz
Ok, thanks. Guess I'll keep an eye on eBay for a decent price then
Re: A Monstrous Psychedelic Bubble – The Wizards Of Oz
Discovering and listening to more of Kanguru was a real pleasure earlier today.
Re: A Monstrous Psychedelic Bubble – The Wizards Of Oz
The Kanguru track was one of the highlights for me as well. Another one where I can hardly believe it's almost 40 years old!
Re: A Monstrous Psychedelic Bubble – The Wizards Of Oz
I know it's not the same thing, but 7digital have it available on mp3 at €8.99.epitome wrote:Ok, thanks. Guess I'll keep an eye on eBay for a decent price then
