Well I listened to Spacelines this weekend. Was a little underwhelmed, to be honest. I've listened to it half a dozen times now though and it had grown on me. It does feel somewhere between Ozric Tentacles and FSOL, so it's undoubtedly pretty cool... I just don't think it's as good as the OT albums I've heard and definitely not a match for FSOL. Still very good though, I am enjoying it
I've also moved onto Orblivion by Orb a couple of weeks ago. Wasn't so sure of that on the first listen either, but after several listens I think it's around the same level as the other Orb albums I've heard.

well done sir!
i don't expect everyone here to love the nodens buy i know at the very lease nobody would be offended by it
now get on that phish album - you'll likely find it hard to like after one listen but
well i just can't say enough
that rec isn't so much of a "fsol fans will like this" as much as "music fans might like this and here is also a chance to really further understand seedy"
that album is tattooed to my soul

Well, I gotta keep working away at my CD pile, but maybe I'll get around to Phish eventually
September was a bad (well, good) month for new albums, I forget how many new releases I got this month - maybe 8 or 9. And October looks like it could be almost as bad/good!
It's not bad - but try the one from the year before - Voices (1995) - that one is from his Top10 albums

OK.....since nobody has taken up my plea to listen to the album JUNTA I will instead beg you folks to check this one out
it's a live compilation but gives you a good sense of who they are:
that one and versions of a couple different bands as well
used to play them for the little man sleeping but we quickly switched to the legit artist recordings
my kid has too much musical intuition for that watered down stuff

this one is surprisingly good and not what you would expect
seems like good sampling fodder too
