OK, I wanna make a quick recap so I won't miss out on anything important,
and I value this boards input very much, so a question to all of you:

- What are your Top5 records for the 2010-2014 period? (no FSOL records please :) )

My top five would probably be:

Karl Hyde - Edgeland
Pure Bathing Culture - Moon Tides
Chvrches - The Bones of What You Believe
Roddy Woomble - Listen to Keep
Roddy Woomble - The Impossible Song & Other Songs

But I dunno if you'd actually like most of those...

If we're talking stuff that's vaguely electronic / psychedelic / experimental / non-commercial / whatever, then some recommendations you might not know:

Kerkville - Days
Deaf Center - Owl Splinters
Krzysztof Orluk & Bai Tian - CHoP Vol. 5 - Structure Of
The Glimmer Room - The Wind Blows Summer from the Trees
Simon Bainton - Visiting Tides
Dementia and Hope Trails - Pure Magical Love
El Heath - Snailbeach Mines Trust
Amelia Cuni & Werner Durand - Already Awake in the Night
A Winged Victory For The Sullen - A Winged Victory For The Sullen
Wolf Maps - Landforms
Pietro Riparbelli - Three Days Of Silence
Origamibiro - Odham's Standard
The Rainbow Body - Magnetic Highway
The Original Flowering Earth - Hosshin
Hakobune / Sima Kim - Split on Ginjoha
Pye Corner Audio - The Black Mill TApes vol 3 & 4
Amalgamated - Trudge/Slap

So yeah, completely ignored what you actually requested there :D

We're not talking about specific genres, just your personal top 5 for 2010-2014,
and if you want to write up more than 5, that's OK, but just think really hard about the top 5, then write the other ones...

So yeah, your answer is just fine Ross :)

Ha, I know, I suppose I just don't see many people here enjoying Chvrches or Pure Bathing Culture so thought I'd widen it to include stuff that might get appreciated. :)

Hmm, my top 5 might be something like:
1. Triptykon - Melana Chasmata (2014)
2. Scar the Martyr - s/t (2013)
3. Off With Their Heads - Home (2013)
4. Gary Numan - Splinter (2013)
5. Triptykon - Eparistera Daimones (2010)

Might have forgotten a couple that could've made the list though. I'm guessing those won't necessarily be your thing though.

Don't worry about my thing guys, my taste is as wide as it gets :)

You now I download/try-out first and buy later - so I filter a lot of stuff :)

I just want to check out new records because these last two years 95% of the stuff I listened was very old music and maybe some 90s and 00s...

After a while, I must say, Pete gave me the best advice here :)

...and I haven't listened everything Ross recommended - but I will...
