FSOL FutureMusic DVD 2006

Post by tryptych »

I was going through some of my old junk, and guess what popped up..

Image

On the back:
FSOL: Watch their exclusive video on the making of latest work and hear it in 5.1 surround sound
info.txt file on the DVD:
Future Sound Of London have made us an exclusive video to explain the process in creating their latest piece of music. As well as the video, we also have an extract of the music provided in 5.1. To hear this track you'll need to burn the provided audio file as an Audio CD.

Please note that this file will not play back on ordinary audio systems as it is a DTS encoded file. So burn to an audio only disc, pop it into your surround sound home theatre system and enjoy.
The interview is the surround sound thing that can also be found on Youtube. Here's a link to the DTS wav:

Here's the interview (compressed to .mkv)

Enjoy if you have a surround system :)

The whole DVD feature is on YouTube. I have the DVD somewhere, must try and fish it out at some point. Really enjoyable stuff, I particularly enjoy the bit of them recording - Gaz putting live guitar down on a FSOL track in Brian's studio. Not every day you get stuff like that!

Yeah, the 'track' was just a segment of Globular.

Wait, so, except the whole documentary "Stereo Sucks" - is there anything else video-wise on the DVD?

I'd like that in any format please :) LINKS please :)

(use .zip/.rar and wetransfer.com - it's simply the best)

- the 700MB version of the StereoSuck is a QuickTime player file, and it's the best version I've seen...

Cool, I hadn't seen those before.

That's some seriously weird stuff the dude is talking about  Stereo is a cartoon of music? And 5.1 changes that, how exactly? lol

I'm guessing he was just trying to sell it to them - But yeah the sales bullshit is certainly quite transparent !

I think stereo is more than fine for audio,
and I'm kinda glad FSOL didn't move in that 5.1 direction...
