What are you watching at the moment? (TV, DVD,whatever)
Re: What are you watching at the moment? (TV, DVD,whatever)
Gravity.
It was so, so good. We went to see it in 3D and the feeling of weightlessness is incredible, even after you step out of the theater.
It's also incredibly melancholic and peaceful, it's incredibly hard to describe how I feel about the movie. "Terrific".

tryptych - Have you seen Steven Soderbergh's remake of Solaris ? Really reminded me of the atmosphere (and that feeling) of Solaris. I guess also having Clooney in it furthers the connection !

haha ancient aliens....i can't say it's TOTALLY worthless as it's inspired me personally to dig deeper.
surely a bunch of the stuff they present is a big stretch and just flimsy "evidence".
but some things i find very perplexing and generally i just like the idea of questioning what we *think* we "know"
i believe life elsewhere but i'm not sure they visit us
i can maybe believe they did so long ago as this show suggests....but idk.
i'm just as keen to believe there was an advanced ancient HUMAN civilization that we no longer know about
with that i'm a big fan of the book "fingerprints of the gods" though I know some of that evidence is stretched also
lol i've always thought that giorgio looks like bud bundy:

A collection of anime shorts called Short Peace (2014), absolutely loved it.
Aeon Flux original animated series, I had completely forgot about this.. love it, of course. Like all the legendary Liquid Television stuff.
..aaand, Cosmos from FOX. Perfect counterbalance to all the Jersey Shores and other trash out there. Some sub-par CGI on this 'tho, but very enjoyable nontheless. My puny brain cannot grasp all this.

Got Netflix at home now, so it seemed the perfect time to watch Farscape again, start to finish.

Farscape is really good show - even it's flows are cute
The new COSMOS series should be awesome, I only watched the first episode and it seemed directed well, but more like a remake of the old COSMOS. I hope they will cover/remake the old episodes quickly (in a few episodes) and start with the new scientific discoveries from the last 30 years - I mean, there's been a LOAD of them

Cosmos, I ought to check it out, seen some commercials for it on tv but I keep forgetting about it.
Recently I've started rewatching The X-Files.
Never gets old, it's still as good as when they first aired it and I was way too young to watch it

It's been a while since I had a good run through The X Files - might have to revisit soon, I've got them all on DVD somewhere.

Those myth episodes are great which have some continuity.. usually based around UFOs. I think we've talked about this before, haven't we?Ross wrote:It's been a while since I had a good run through The X Files - might have to revisit soon, I've got them all on DVD somewhere.
Speaking of which, I just watched this documentary "Mirage Men" which is about how the UFO phenomena is used to cover up secret military operations.. and they kinda admit it

Haha, probably - yeah, I love the mythology that runs through the show. Well, up to midway through season six when the story kind of gets wrapped up, the whole thing probably should have ended then anyway.

I LOVE The X-Files. The pinnacle of television!
