So this is obviously an area of music that will be of interest to people here - those of us who are still around! - so I thought I'd just pop a thread in for my YouTube series where I'm exploring the era of music that started with The Orb and The KLF in the late '80s and kind of petered out around 1996, if anybody fancies a look. So far I've covered 1989-1992.

Looking forward to watching these, still lagging behind on your FSOL masterpieces (will be checking out Part 5 this week!)

Cheers, hope you enjoy! The episodes are -mostly- shorter than the FSOL ones.

Here's this week's volume, covering Apollo, Warp's Artificial Intelligence releases and a few other early IDM things, and Recycle or Die.

Still on 1993, and a look at some odds and ends, plus the US's two biggest ambient labels of the decade.

Hoping you feature the largely forgotten Salt Tank. Their revival is long overdue. Check out Olympic 638, Eugina, Charged Up. A string of bangers and more.

Hmm, Salt Tank are a weird one, I suppose I associate them more with trance, although there are definitely some lovely downtempo pieces there. I always struggled with them because I can never get along with that early 909-heavy trance sound.

I've done the bulk of the audio for the series, but am thinking of doing a 'things others have mentioned' video at the end so might well include them there.

Been a bit under the weather the past couple of weeks but back to this now, starting up 1994.
