Teachings From the Electronic Brain film
ISDN Show
Headstone Lane - Knuckleduster
Oil - Slight of Hand
That's it for the '90s. A big four year gap now. I'm doing Translations tomorrow and then will probably be spending a decade trying to compile all the info on The Isness.

"Teachings From the Electronic Brain film"
My first encounter with FSOL, somewhere around 97/98 I think, late at night with a friend, both filled up with weed , watching this video on VHS. I remember being pretty much impressed. One or two days later I went and bought Dead Cities, my first CD from a "Techno-Artist" at a time where my favoured music was more of the guitar-driven sort.
I remember wondering who "amorphous androgynous" was, thinking this was another mysterious music act collaborating with FSOL or something
Not to mention that we also had no idea who or what "Future Sound Of London" was. Was it a "group", or a single person? This mystery was not a small part of the fascination for FSOL for some years for me. Think when they came up with The Isness was the first time when I noticed they were a duo and read their names in a music magazine for the first time.

Magnificient Insignificance
Re: FSOL Wiki
Yes, the liner notes always played on the ambiguity of who they really were. For the longest time I assumed Brian and Gaz were the main composers, with Phillip Pinn, Yage, Buggy and a whole host of guest musicians helping out. When you realise it was just them with Bugs doing some of the art it sort of loses the magic a bit.

Glad you're appreciating! I spent all of yesterday putting it off knowing how dense it would be
Re: FSOL Wiki
Wow, that's incredible! It's great to have all this information in a handy place like this - great work!
Re: FSOL Wiki
Something a LOT simpler today:
The Mello Hippo Disco Show
Divinity
And, a bit of a culture shock, Humanoid Sessions 84-88
Mello Hippo was my 50th wiki discography entry. Only 100 more to go!

You're powering through these bad boys - I wish I had this level of constructive commitment !
Re: FSOL Wiki
It's partially an exercise to keep me busy. After some mental health stuff earlier in the year I'm trying to have a routine that puts some productive things in my day each day. I was working on a track every day and when I ran out of that creative juice I moved onto this!
