What are you listening to?
Re: What are you listening to?
The Orb - Ball Of Fire (Instrumental)
Orbserving The Star House In Dub (2013)
The instrumental version of this album is really fun to listen to when doing stuff like cleaning the house
Not a big fan of the original version with vocals.

Unreleased tracks, demos, alternative takes and things I have absolutely no idea what to do with...

Re: What are you listening to?
Well, maybe one day they'll give you ideas about the next big album...
If you are certain they will not, just release them

You're doin' too much, do less.
Re: What are you listening to?
I'd love to do a 'big album' again. Not sure if I've got it in me though. We shall see.
Re: What are you listening to?
Shame the only release of the instrumental version is in the deluxe £50+ box set. I don't have any version of that album yet - the vocals really put me off... but the instrumental versions I would probably like.RazorJack wrote:The Orb - Ball Of Fire (Instrumental)

Coincidentally, I'm now listening to:
The Orb - The Orb's Adventures Beyond the Ultraworld
Re: What are you listening to?
Oasis - Falling Down (Monstrous Psychedelic Bubble Mix)
Because it's been too long since I last listened.
First hearing this was an incredible moment.

Tales of Ephidrina . . . another FSOL album
I had killed a man...a man who looked like me
Re: What are you listening to?
Hmm, didn't know that, I just use Spotify, it has most of Orb's stuff, unfortunately it's missing my favorite of them, The Dream!epitome wrote:Shame the only release of the instrumental version is in the deluxe £50+ box set. Re: What are you listening to?
Lately been listening A LOT of stuff:
Pigface: Easy Listening.. For Difficult Fuckheads
Teenage Fanclub - Thirteen
The Fantastic Planet soundtrack
The Andy Cato remixes
San Cisco (US indie pump)
The Kings Of Convenience - Declaration of Dependence (not as good as their previous stuff IMO, but still pretty good)
and most of all, finally got into Jonn Serrie.. his "space" series are perfect floating music, nicely neutral; neither too light or unnecessarily dark

Oh cool, I might check that out on Spotify then, if I find time / remember.RazorJack wrote:Hmm, didn't know that, I just use Spotify, it has most of Orb's stuff, unfortunately it's missing my favorite of them, The Dream!epitome wrote:Shame the only release of the instrumental version is in the deluxe £50+ box set. Last night I listened to:
Isis + Aereogramme - In The Fishtank 14
Mouth of the Architect - Sleepwalk Powder
Both totally amazing and great to listen to as I swirl around the still, dark air

I've not actually heard him before - it sounds really good. It's a bit like Blockhead with a bit more cojones...
