I took the Env5-bonus track cover, deleted Environments, and made it call 'Bonus Track EP' instead of 'Bonus 3 Track EP'. OK, I know that's a bit cheap, but I like it :) no idea what kind of font they use on the FSOL-covers, but I'm sure some of the graphic design pro's around here know :)

I'm keeping the E5 Bonus EP as it is though ;)

I've got a cool photo for the cover, I just need a title and ideally the right font to slap on there now. Quite pleased with this, I might do them same kind of fading and stuff with the Herd Killing EP I mentioned as well...

Right, I used the Green Mountain font and tentatively titled the EP Environmentalism... but maybe that's too cheesy? And it's not really connected with the Environments series either... but I couldn't think of a better title anyway, so it'll do for now.

Sorry for hijacking this thread, but all my madman ramblings were at least inspired by it 8-)

Wow. Very cool.

And I always thought I was a bit nerdy with my urge to make CD-artworks for compilations and download-only albums...

I used to do it all the time. No longer have a printer, though, so that stopped a while ago.

Just knocked these up...

Damn, this looks pretty professional. Where did you get the back cover picture from?
The font is the same like on the original CD's, I reckon.

I absolutely love the back cover designs for the Archive / Environments series - not all that difficult to copy, but so visually pleasing. The image is the full version of the picture as featured on the EBS6 tracklist (Brian sent it to me a few years ago just before the mix came out.)

I was going do the whole Art:EBV (c) 2014 and Earthbeat logo bits but then I really, really couldn't be arsed, ha.

And yes, as epitome says, the font is GreenMountain3 (you can still grab it here for the next couple of weeks before the site disappears forever.) I used it on my first ever Second Thought cover back in the day...

Ah, EBS6, I knew I've seen it before. It's beautiful.

I only did a front cover for my EP, I guess I'm just lazy ;) I don't bother printing them and burning CDs now though, so it's just to have a cover to show in iTunes.

But nice work with your CD art guys, they look great :)

Btw, what are Prime World, Hold It and The Zed Storm?

I suppose the way I've split everything up, I'll still need to do a cover for my Dead Cities era EP and the Subconscious Slide EP. Might have to play around with cross fading the tracks too, I like how that works with the one I did yesterday :)

@epitome: those tracks are "rare" or "unreleased" tracks and come from youtube videos, "Prime World" is the preview video from the game but now i canĀ“t found video...

"Hold It" was a unreleased video by Yage circa dead cities era >

"The Zed Storm" is a outtake and rare track from first era (1990-1992), that was rescued from Kiss FM radio transmission ,and supposedly would be released but never see the light... >

^^ Thanks :-)

I remember that Prime World thing now. Anyone know if there's a link to it still kicking around somewhere?

I'll rip those other two from YouTube tonight, I haven't heard them before :-)

EDIT:
I see that there are 7 tracks from the Prime World soundtrack on YouTube, so I'll give them a listen tonight if I get chance, cheers 8-)

Hold It was pretty cool - should fit nicely on the ISDN-era rarities EP I was compiling :)

The Zed Storm was actually quite cool too, apart from all the radio blurb over the top of it.

Probably won't have time to listen to the Prime World stuff tonight, I'm listening to the new Pineapple Thief album now :)
