Seedy - I was against FB for a looong time (I guess everyone here are/were)
- until I needed it for a freelance job - then I got to know it - and saw that 95% of the people use it wrong,
and - it takes some time and effort, but you CAN make it work for you.

All the boring high school friends and relatives that want to be your friends - fine - accept - then UNFOLLOW and you won't be bothered with their boring news-feeds.

On the other hand - use it a news-feed for real news - and hand pick the news you receive - bands, musicians, local stores, events, concerts, entertainment sites... - After some time it becomes really cool :)
You're doin' too much, do less.

i hear you man
personally i've got a bit of conspiracy theory big brother vibes from facebook i don't like either

truth be told i DO have an account but it was created like 5 years ago to send two messages to a long lost friend in norway

i guess i need to retrieve my password some day and touch base with my idols
maybe i'll send them the link to my first tune when it's finally done
it will be nothing they really like - but the criticism and advice would be precious :)

All depends on how much information you put on there... you can be discreet and give them nothing to store or track.

it's just all weird

google creeps me out too

it's f'n spooky when you are on a forum and low and behold you see ads that are 100% aimed at what product you were googling or amazoning earlier in the day

and then there's twitter which is like a new language or something
i can't follow much of anything when i look at twitter

i think i'm saying it properly when i say "i just can't be arsed with that stuff"??? lol
