Terminal Window 2
Re: Terminal Window 2
Hey guys - I'm so out of the loop on this - partly because all of the old posts are gone... Whats the story behind the Terminal Window compilation? Just wondering how it started and what the requirements are, etc, does is it keep a certain theme, is it exclusive to regulars on the FSOLBoard? " I'd love to hear Volume 1. Sorry I'm so clueless!

Re: Terminal Window 2
Terminal Window is a music project from FSOLBoard, a community of Future Sound of London fans
on the internet. Artists on the board were invited to contribute tracks and collaborations to
the album, given nothing but the title Terminal Window. The final record holds together incredibly
well as an individual album, merging ambient breaks from the likes of Loose Link and Noisesurfer
with more traditional ambience of Off Land and cubus, and more experimental sounds from
Herd and Full-Source. This wide range of styles, knitted together into a single journey, leaves
the album sounding not a million miles away from FSOL themselves.
Artwork by Herd and Pandemonium.
01. Noisesurfer - Undomain
02. Loose Link - Electromagnetic Sound Nursery
03. cubus - Ratsshake tramadol Pseuccele
04. Herd - Tangent 43
05. Clockwork Keyboard - Clockwork Freakout
06. Second Thought - 1801-F.Deletion
07. Off Land - 13th Century Kitichi
08. Noisesurfer - Journey to the Moon
09. Full-Source - Nothing Days
10. Herd - Terminal Window
11. Second Thought - First Understanding
12. Clockwork Keyboard - Techwork Horror
13. Loose Link - Design Defect
14. Herd & Second Thought - Combiner

Re: Terminal Window 2
Im not in charge of it or anything but I cant see why not.Think Looselink might be organising this one by the looks of it.
Re: Terminal Window 2
Hey Nmesh, I absolutely love your FSOL remixes!
I'll be organizing and mixing this together, Ross was in charge of volume 1. There's not really a theme, just something that sounds FSOL-ish, beats or ambient wise! (that's how volume 1 turned out) Anybody on this board is free to contribute.
PM me your tracks, one or two tracks its up you. A couple of exclusives that have not been released anywhere else would be nice, and in 16bit WAV format please

Re: Terminal Window 2
Awesome! I'd love to work out something for Vol. 2 - After listening to Terminal 1 I think I know where I need to be with the track - I suppose I'll start something new, that is if I have enough time. Is there a deadline for the tracks?

Re: Terminal Window 2
Why so soon - that's only like 2 weeks
(or is this to get the proper .wav friendly version of the first one out on Bandcamp)

Re: Terminal Window 2
Yeah when I saw the deadline, I shot out of my seat and started working on something immediately! With a 25th due date, I can only guarantee one track (and its gonna be a good one ). If it were pushed back I could maybe do another. Hectic schedule these days.

Re: Terminal Window 2
Ok, I'll push the date back until January 31. But that's it Just going with what I know, it'll be good to get the ball rolling abit (as the last posts have shown )
I'll wait until Ross sends me the wavs of volume 1 then I'll put them together, is it mixed together in wav format or are they separate tracks Ross?
@Herd - Awesome! This should be a interesting visual mix.
@Akkya - Thanks mate they sound awesome, got nice track variety now

Re: Terminal Window 2
Well, I left the first one a bit longer than this to get together! Better to have a good tracklist than a half-finished one that was put together for a deadline.
Erm, I can send you the individual un-mixed tracks of volume 1 if you wanted to do your own new mix of it or something? Otherwise I'll send you my mix of the album in wavs.
