Will Facebook kill this board?
Re: Will Facebook kill this borad?
Like others in this thread, I don't feel comfortable using facebook. This site and forum are my one-stop shop for FSOL news/discussion.
Re: Will Facebook kill this borad?
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a double album. But even if it's around the 70 minute mark, I'd be happy. I just feel that the longer FSOL albums give you more time (obviously) to escape into another world.
Re: Will Facebook kill this borad?
It'll be a single album (as confirmed in the Environments 5 thread, of all places!)
Re: Will Facebook kill this borad?
Oh right, I forgot about that thread!
Actually, must have forgotten that I read that. Oh well, I'll still hope for it being 70+ minutes. We'll see

Re: Will Facebook kill this board?
OK, this second one is priceless,
I bet none of us thought of FSOL as First Signs Of Love

how about:
FSOL : fully secured on land (loan terminology)
FSOL : Free-Space Optical Link (communication technology term)

I'm just wondering how long it take for us to get in trouble concerning this -
Re: Will Facebook kill this board?
Hahah. Fantastic! You've got the lower-case 'c' on your side, though.
Second Thought was an absolute fucking nightmare, one of the reasons I changed it. There were too many Ross Bakers, too. International Debris, at least, seems to be lacking competition.

Re: Will Facebook kill this board?
creating an alias is pretty daunting
i've been working off and on my tune for ages now and i'm nearing the end of at least the heavy composing (tune is going to be 21 min long!)
i think to the future of throwing this up on soundcloud and just wonder what the heck my artist name will be
i don't think it will be "seedy" lol

Re: Will Facebook kill this board?
self confessed fb addict here (as you will have noticed from my feed)...but this place is much better, both in terms of specific FSOL content and feel. much prefer coming here to discuss or read about fsol related things. posts on fb may get a like as they scroll past, but very rarely my full attention.
boards will still be here when the fad of fb and the like is long gone imo

Re: Will Facebook kill this borad?
Hadn't noticed this, I got a little worried when I read the thread title and opening post, but thankfully it seems that FSOLboard is sure to stay active despite having a Facebook identity, unlike so many other of my favorite bands' forums that slowly (or some rather quickly) died out.
