The Cartel
Re: The Cartel
Oh man, INCREDBLE production on these, especially on the second volume! Just NAILS that 70's blaxpoittation sound, but still I don't think that anything like this has been made. Shame that I don't want to buy any CDs anymore, but I'd love to have these.. little bit on the fence with that.

Holy shit. Now it's clear why there was such a "long period" (in our terms) of no further releases after ENV-4. But if that is the result the waiting was significant. The Cartel rocks. I want it now.

Wait, what are you doing FSOLboard on 8.44 tm..???!?!? Onna tuesday evening, for gods sake, it's not exactly Sunday, but almost..DKHR wrote:Holy shit. Re: The Cartel
I would rather say the long period was after the last AA release. I really wonder how many tons of unreleased AA material there is, I'm almost sure they had a lot of recording sessions over the last years, AND not to forget the scrapped stuff from the Peppermint-CD-sleeve, at least this stuff must exist somewhere along with the remixed "High Flying Birds"...

Re: The Cartel
Hmm... why does it say compiled?
I thought this would be something like an album...

You're doin' too much, do less.
Re: The Cartel
Hmm yeah, though a little confusing saying: compiled AND produced
So is this a compilation of library music, or is actually stuff by them ?
EDIT: Hmm, obviously the latter - my brain forgot the promo videos.

Re: The Cartel
Especially since on the first poster that still slides on fsoldigital.com says: performed and produced by AA.

Re: The Cartel
maybe it's a mix of both
selected tracks with the sound they are emulating as well as original AA tracks along these lines mixed in?
oi....brian/gaz need to really just pop their heads in here once in awhile and say hello
we're a small and tame bunch and i've little doubt that we represent the majority of their MOST rabid fans

Re: The Cartel
I think that refers to the fact that B&G probably more like just produced and compiled it, and (as you can see from the slides) most playing is done by guest musicians. Who knows.. but I'm 99% sure that it's completely new material, no compilation tracks.

Re: The Cartel
The albums are meant to play out like soundtracks or mixes rather than straight albums - they're credited as Monstrous Bubble Soundtracks, not Amorphous Androgynous albums.

Nice artwork, hopefully in the next 30 days?
play this backwards and you'll hear evil messages
Re: The Cartel
I think they're still sorting out label/release details - don't hold your breath for a release in the next few weeks!
