Record Store Day 2013 - Astralwerks Box Set

Post by ronniedobbs »

The official list is leaking out, and FSOL have been confirmed to appear on this limited edition set of 7" records and flexi discs. No track list yet, but "rare and unreleased" we're used in description, so fingers crossed!
play this backwards and you'll hear evil messages

There was much speculation on this in the "It's all gone quiet" thread, but it makes sense to stick the update in here:

http://www.vvinyl.com/v/various-artists ... 20-20/3579

Disc 1: Future Sound of London - The Far Out Son of Lung and the Ramblings of a Mad Man (Original 12" version)
Disc 2: The Chemical Brothers - Block Rockin' Beats
Disc 3: The Beta Band - Dry The Rain
Disc 4: Fatboy Slim - Praise You
Disc 5: Cassius - Cassius 1999
Disc 6: Doves - The Cedar Room
Disc 7: Kings of Convenience - Winning a Battle, Losing the War (J-Walk remix)
Disc 8: Basement Jazz - Where's Your Head At
Disc 9: Royksopp - Poor Leno
Disc 10: Sia - Breathe Me (Four Tet Remix)
Disc 11: Hot Chip - My Shit's On Fire Right Now
Disc 12: The Kooks - Put Your Back to My Face
Disc 13: Empire f the Sun - Walking on a Dream
Disc 14: David Guetta - Sexy Bitch (Feat. Akon)
Disc 15: Air - Indian Summer
Disc 16: Kraftwerk - Die Roboter
Disc 17: Eric Prydz - Allein
Disc 18 - Swedish House Mafia - Don't You Worry Child (Feat. John Martin)
Disc 19: Diamond Rings - Put Me On (Diamond Dance)
Disc 20: Gold Fields - Dark Again

Assuming it's all of the content on the original 12" release, is any of that actually exclusive/any different from what's on the various versions of ISDN?

Is this the content here?

It's probably the version from the 1995 EP. It's basically the same as the album version. If it's different, it's oh so slight.
That EP does have Snake Hips part 1 + 2 though which is great and I think a different outro on Amoeba.

There is nothing rare/unreleased on this compilation...
It could be as well called 'Astralwerks celebrates 20: The Hits' :)

On the plus side, Brian and Gaz have steered clear of the Record Store Debacle this year. No ebay profiteering in their names this time around.
