Current news: the Environment Eight that was promised with the announcement of Captures was scrapped, which is why the album didn't follow shortly after the EPs after initially expected. This does mean it'll probably be a bit more of a stylistic change, however.
E8, in whatever form it comes, is due out in 2026.
(along with a bunch of other stuff, but that's for another day)
Environment Eight
Re: Environment Eight
Interesting stuff. Now I have no idea what to expect from E8. Maybe we'll get a 3rd EP with some of the scrapped material?

"probably be a bit more of a stylistic change"
Ok, so I am intrigued. I felt the EPs were a bit of a departure, sound wise from the the rest of the Environment series.
If E8 is more in common with E7.002, I would would have no problems with that. Speaking of which, does E7.003 also have a name like the previous two E7 releases ?

Re: Environment Eight
I thought Captures wasn’t so far off what we’ve had in recent years but yeah, Multiple Angled Distortions felt like it was pushing in a different direction, maybe it’ll be using that as a starting point and heading into even harsher territory.
7.003 is called Where All is Ending, although that’s only actually displayed on the back cover of the CD, for some reason.
