I've given all the Bandcamp editions a full listen now and somehow those little crossfades and environments really do add up to a much more coherent listen. Still not quite FSOL classics, but they work as significant improvements for me.

Meanwhile:
Hey up,

For those who have purchased the FSOLdigital Calendar, 2022 edition, this month's track is now available from the album's page.

This month's calendar track is "Deconstructed Room". Taken from sessions undertaken in July 2019, it was recorded at Nine L West Studios and engineered by Yage.

Enjoy

Hello Calendar Subscribers,

This Month..

FSOL - ALb
created : 20.26 : 9th jan > 2019 _

Enjoy,

FSOLdigital

---------------------

I real nice downtempo number. I don't think I would have recognized this as an FSOL piece if I had to guess.

@ Offland: funny as, as I listened to it I thought “this is why I love FSOL”!

Anyway agree this is a really nice mellow track, best for a while - though actually Deconstructed Room was really good. Love the downtempo percussion and accompanying synth lines (on ALb). Better than last month’s (Occasional) which I thought was the weakest of all calendar tracks with practically nothing to it.

Only just got round to listening to ALb, I like it. I agree, it don't think I would guess it was by them if it was a blind listen. It's quite warm and laid back, surprisingly sparse from them. Occasional didn't sound like a track at all as such, more an environment to go between more substantial pieces, water splashing and general mood setting.

Time-wise this seems to have been recorded around the time of 'Environment Five'. Love the jazzy acid on this one. I can understand why it wasn't on E5 or anything else around that time though. Doesn't sound like anything else released then.

I haven't missed September's track, have I? I'm guessing it's delayed a bit because of E7.02 release prep.

I was wondering what happened to the October track, what with us being a week into November. I see it got quietly added to the bandcamp album - either I missed the notification or they forgot to give one. I like this one, relatively mellow for a Humanoid track while maintaining a certain sense of drama.

Hiya,

This month Humanoid adds to the calendar with the track 'Research Machines 3802'

Amazing track this month. moody, melodic, and some great drums. No record date given but it certainly sounds like an E7 outtake...

Gorgeous track this month, in Fluid Motion Characterized by Chaotic Changes, with increasingly surprising aural developments as it goes on. Actually best of the year. Artwork top notch as usual too.

Hello Calendar Subscribers,

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all the FSOL crew. Here is the last track of this calendar album.

FSOL - Local Light Scattering

From early 2022 -
Recorded at 9LWest Studios
Engineered by Yage

See you all next year

Enjoy,

FSOLdigital

Judging from the artwork, which looks very similar to the E7.02 artwork, and the sound of the track, this is likely an E7 leftover. It's quite enjoyable though :)
