created using 4 CV controlled Solenoids playing a glockenspiel a snare and a kitchen tray then overlaid with various synths

this track is taken from an unreleased 16 track album by AcS
each track was created using a variety of acoustic percussive objects triggered by fast reacting solenoids
recorded at 9L west 2016 engineered by Yage

Gorgeous and eerie and utterly strange. Reminds me a touch of Heads of Agreement.

I have to admit when I saw the title/description I was expecting it to be very much a "throwaway track" for some reason. But this is great! The dark vibe reminds be a but of the Yage Woodlands album. It is nicely eerie, indeed :)

Doesn't look like it. At least we've had two years of them!

Yup, they're leaving the last one to the last minute. Looking forward to listening to the full album though.

Would this be the ultimate in FSOL shenanigary if the last track of the 2018 Calendar album is released in 2019? I'm also looking forward to listening to the whole thing, as I've so far limited myself to just 2 listens to each track when they came out and I can't even remember what many of them sound like now!

I didn't get the physical calendar for 2018. I got the 2017 calendar but when it was still on January by December that year I felt that I probably didn't really make the most of it. It's a shame we won't be getting a track each month from them next year though - but maybe they guys got a bit fed up of having to remember/bother with that each month?!

Well, luckily we won't be waiting until 2019 for the last calendar track :) A Humanoid track and very enjoyable it is too. Quite laid back, with a nice glitchiness to it.
