Probably not, it's something out of the Archives / ENV series, and yet in them as well

Mysteries abound...
play this backwards and you'll hear evil messages
Re: New mystery FSOL release...
As things stand at the minute, this release should blur the lines between what is a traditional "album" and what isn't (as should some future releases too, in different ways). Whilst we may never reach the point of Gaz's dreams in the '90s - of FSOL simply broadcasting new music 24/7 from their studio - this will be a step further away from the 'album every 18 months' routine that the music industry has forced upon artists.
Re: New mystery FSOL release...
On the other hand, releasing an album every 18 months helps maintain "quality control". So only the best tracks that fit together as a whole get released. IMHO the Environments series suffers somewhat from this. I would take a high quality album every 18 months over the quantity approach anyday.Ross wrote:As things stand at the minute, this release should blur the lines between what is a traditional "album" and what isn't (as should some future releases too, in different ways). I do hope this is something new, but I won't be surprised if it is Environment Seven.
Re: New mystery FSOL release...
The only Environments release that has bothered me in that regard so far is 3, which I agree is patchy.
Just to confirm: this isn't Environment Seven.

Just happy they're faster than the rate of Leftfield and Portishead albumsRoss wrote: this will be a step further away from the 'album every 18 months' routine that the music industry has forced upon artists.

Archived 9?? Best of Environments?? Best of Electronic Brain Storms??Ross wrote:The only Environments release that has bothered me in that regard so far is 3, which I agree is patchy.

Isn't "Little Boats" the agency the young girl model comes from? I seem to remember reading that somewhere.

Nope!Chris3d wrote:Archived 9?? Best of Environments?? Best of Electronic Brain Storms??
Pretty sure this record will just help to confuse things in terms of series, album, compilation etc.
Re: New mystery FSOL release...
It will be very interesting if it's something all on its own i.e not part of a series (Archives, Environments) or not a compilation of already released tracks (Life in Moments, Mushroom 11). If it's a standalone FSOL album then I'm very intrigued.

Re: New mystery FSOL release...
will this arrive before the Amorphous album? I really hope that doesn't get delayed.

Re: New mystery FSOL release...
To be honest I couldn't give a banana-wotsit-shenanigan what it is compiled under/released in - when has it really affected what the tracks sound like anyway. As long as it's good, I'm up for it !
Re: New mystery FSOL release...
Maybe it´s "from the archived electric brain storming environments vol. 0.1 part 1, presented and mixed by the amorphous sound of yage"?
