(2021-06-11) Fluvial Lake [Cassette, New Motion]
(2018-10-19) Croxton Kerrial [Cassette, Celldeath]
(2017-07-29) Human Croquet [CDr, Sea of Clouds]
(2015-04-21) Coutie Tree [Cassette, ((Cave)) Recordings]
(2013-12-01) The Few Ups and Many Downs of the 21st Century [Download, Bump Foot]

Winter of the World is an ambient sound collage project by Ross Baker and Joaquin Ronco. In late 2013 we quietly put an album out on Bump Foot, which was a rough idea of where we hoped the project to go. It was entitled 'The Few Ups and Many Downs of the 21st Century' and can also be grabbed on our Bandcamp.

Our second album is entitled 'Coutie Tree' is and is available now on ((Cave)) Recordings. This is an edition of 50 C46 cassettes. A Bandcamp edition is available for analogueophobes out there. :D

You can hear a couple of samples here:

You can purchase tapes from the ((Cave)) store - both of us should have artist copies for sale at some point within the next few weeks.

And this wouldn't be the same without a trademark animated gif!

Sounds good, I'll have to give the first album a listen.

The first is mostly a blend of synth pieces and field recordings, quite stripped back in a way. This new one is a sharp contrast, it's heavily inspired by Electric Brain Storms 5 and 7. Bandcamp link up this afternoon.

Our third album, Human Croquet, has been released as CDr + digital on Sea of Clouds. The label had this to say:

Winter of the World is a collaborative project between International Debris and Noisesurfer which comes in the form of two 30 minute sound collages of ambient drift, field recordings, piano improvisation, movie snippets and various sonic detritus collected under the name Human Croquet. Highly atmospheric and cinematic, this release will appeal to fans of Future Sound of London and DJ Shadow's masterful sample work.

Grab it here!

FSOL vs DJ Shadows sounds intriguing :)

upon previewing the tracks, didn't get much Shadow vibe,
but nevertheless the tracks are cool and trippy :)

I think the DJ Shadow comment was in reference to the sampling rather than a direct sound comparison. There are a lot of samples on this album!
