Electronic Drum Kits

Post by epitome » Sat Jan 10, 2015 1:09 pm

Hey, any of you guys know much about electronic drum kits? I'm thinking of getting one - don't want to spend too much, but want something that sounds good, so need to find a middle ground there maybe. I'm told they can be quite good and produce good sounds. Cheers.

Just another quick question, though it's totally not related...

When making an album or EP that segues between tracks, what's the best way to do it? Make the whole album in one project and then slice it up afterwards?

Hi,

If you mean Drum kits that are physical to play - then I recommend

Low budget
http://www.roland.co.uk/products/v-drums_lite_hd-3/

Mid Budget
http://www.roland.co.uk/products/v-drum ... le_td-4kp/

if you mean VST / hardware - I have and use all of these all the time
then I recommend
http://www.d16.pl/nepheton
http://www.d16.pl/drumazon
http://www.native-instruments.com/en/pr ... /maschine/

When I made this album
https://itunes.apple.com/gb/album/aband ... d570397772

I made all of the tracks first, and then had them all on seperate tracks in Ableton as WAV's
I then blended them together, using various fx and macros

Hope that helps

Very good Pete :) pretty machine, also added this with the Hammedhead would be enough to work fine drum patterns
