.. now THAT is awesome :D If he had a digital shop of his work and mixes I'll be happy to buy them and help him out.
Ross wrote: Oh - a thought on the remix album - archive.org and Bandcamp are probably out due to copyright stuff (and we couldn't even ask the band as it's EMI and J&P who own copyright to everything pre-FSOLDigital).
We can make it free to download, that would be alright wouldn't it. As long as we're not making a profit and fully crediting the source materials it could pass?
Akkya wrote:I'd like to be part of a fsol remix album, I would also be happy to release more original work on a compilation...
Of course! :) I was asking everyone else who hasn't said anything about it what they would like to do for the remix album.

If I hear anything I'll post it, don't worry!

Craig - the terms of use on Internet Archive and Bandcamp (and any file storage website) very clearly state no copyright violation. EMI, Jumpin & Pumpin and FSOLDigital own the copyright to their songs, no matter how free you offer them up. ;)
We could probably get away with torrenting it or using Mediafire or something?

Aye, and I know from their comments when they offered samples (and sometimes sources) of Papua New Guinea to Future Music years ago that they're quite particular about copyright - So I'd be a touch careful about approaching this one !

Hmm, ok.

Torrent is probably the best bet, though everybody who contributes can distribute it anyway they want. Maybe as a gift with one of their own releases if they like. We'll create it first then go from there. Noisesurfer will be contributing something to Doorway.

So far its:

Akkya
Nmesh
Ross Baker
Loose Link
Noisesurfer

Deadline: Mid June.

Would be cool if we could get some sort of officially blessed thing going from Gaz and Brian based around their newer material.

Not sure about an official blessing although I'm sure there won't be objections, at least.

Er, I just seen this on my guestbook -
Hello Cubus

Some news that I'd imagine might be of interest to you.

We have your release by Joke Lanz for a review in our next issue.... May, on sale from the 12th of April.

Would you like to take advantage of this and include an advert in this issue or on the website?

Find details of our advertising online here.

We would need your artwork to arrive by 5pm this Friday (30th of March).

Please get in touch if you are interested.

All the best

Andy Tait
Is Joke Lanz anyone here and is it related to this compilation ? :?

EDIT: Ok, just found out the reason for the confusion - Joke Lanz in on Cubus Records ......

Lol, never trust Google when searching for names :P

Send him Terminal Window 2, say that Joke helped you on Parameter (jk)

Terminal Window 2 is at 6,029 downloads! I haven't been keeping track with Bandcamp as the download counter restarts every month, but we have had a few downloads on there too!

You can set the Bandcamp stats to show by month or since you opened the account.

Thanks Tooros :)

So far I have remixes by Sven and Noisesurfer of Smoking Japanese Babe and Distant Memories, both sounding good.
