Re: International Debris thread - Opaline out 10th Sept

Post by Ross »

My first album of the year, Opaline, is out on 10th September on BLCR. Three longform ambient acid tracks recorded live to tape. Digital release only at the minute, hopefully a physical will be coming somewhere further down the line.

It's so oldschool sounding. lots of acid. recording strait to tape really makes the album's sound have that early 90's quality. nicely done.

Thanks guys. Yeah, definitely an intentionally early '90s feel on this one. Been enjoying a lot of Aphex's earlier releases this year which probably inspired the acid and cassette approach!

Pete - one of the guys who run the label did the art for this one. Yeah, I absolutely love it. I made an attempt at first but this one put mine to shame!

Cheers Seedy :) Yeah, I definitely had a few years of more ambient stuff, but ID is definitely turning out more of a rhythmic project. My next two releases are also more rhythm-led than not.

My three International Debris albums are now on Spotify, for those inclined.

Re: International Debris thread - new interview & mix

Post by Ross »

I did an interview and mix for Processed on CJSW, a regular show hosted by Valiska. You can listen back to the show here. It features me talking about my creative drive, why I make music, my influences etc., as well as a handful of ambient favourites, including an unreleased alternate version of 'Primer' from Ambifauna.

I have a second mix coming for The Bricolage Collective next week too.

Vacuum Road Songs came out in 2007. For 2017, I have added 12 more tracks - some previously unreleased - including remixes, outtakes, and my 2005 live set, to the album on Bandcamp, as well as reverting the cover to the original design (which was changed at the last minute before release, much to my regret ever since).

More expanded albums will be released soon.

Re: International Debris thread - new tapes

Post by Ross »

A couple of tape releases to fill the gap before Myosphere drops in a couple of months...
Cataclysmic Variable Star by Intergalactic Debris - 50 minutes of space music. Some of this previously existed on a download-only Obliquity album.
International Memories - split with MindSpring Memories. Two longform vaporwave tracks.

Both are available as free downloads also.
