Is that a working title or is this moving away from the Tangents series?
Great progress anyway, your tracks sound more alive (in a creepy, 'something is following me' sense) as each one comes along.

All my tracks start with just working titles - then when I get them in the right order they become Tangent -- or whatever.I'm thinking of doing these ones as Tangents and then maybe putting them aside for a while.I feel in a way I've been practising with the Tangents and now its time to really build something - probably a full length release.

Its weird beacause all of this new batch were put together since last summer when I was living in New Zealand.I wondered if this would influence the sound as opposed to sitting in my bedroom in cold grey England!

Just uploaded a little test piece on Soundcloud.I've been experimenting with Longcat audio H3D Binaural Spatialisation plugin which allows you to animate sound in 3 dimensions i.e.sound can travel up down, left - right and back to front.I might use it in some new tracks.Let me know if you think it works / or not.

Hey that's a well nice production there irrespective of whether the binaural effect works or not !

I don't know if it's just my ears or headphone set up or what, but I've never been able to get the 3d effect with binaural recordings, it always just sounds like wide stereo...

Cheers mate, yeah I'm not entirely sure if its full 3D or not.

I got the 'come on!' and horse riding past the right channel from front to back, the rest of it just sounded like very realistic stereo. Impressive though.

Cheers Ross, not entirely sure if it would work in a track.I suppose with certain elements it could work quite well.

Something like that would be a nice thing to put in without really bigging it up, so if someone's listening on headphones and they get a bit of the 3D effect it'd be a nice surprise.

yeah sounds good.im just playing around at the minute trying to get more of a sense of space in some tracks.I read somewhere about putting tracks through analogue desks and back into your DAW again - just need a desk now! I'd love to know how FSOL do it.

Masterising plugins like iZotope Ozone help for things like this. Getting a Vectorscope really helps with visualising the width of the mix too - I've just started using this free one called Flux Stereo Tool - http://www.fluxhome.com/products/freewares/stereotool" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, and it's definitely helped me out ..
