It doesn't say it's an actual live performance of the song - just that those experiments are real. The kick causing the waveform in the water is very real. TRY HARDER BUSTER.

Nah, the harmonic components in a kick drum wouldn't produce that pure a waveform. Would need to be a pure sine at a very low frequency (talking around sub-50hz)

Here's how it's done (notice the sound is actually inaudible):


The same purity of wave is required for the 'sand' stuff as well -

lol soz :) (I've recently got crazy into audio research/programming so my brain at the moment is full of useless knowledge about the minutiae of sound components. I'm pretending it's so that it'll develop my music but once again it's me procrastinating)

Ah couldn't remember if I told you when we met for drinks - I would only get called 'Peter' by my family and teachers if I was getting told off, all the other time it's 'Pete'. So I've always associated 'Peter' with a verbal slap on the wrists !
