Hi fives you for Dear Esther - great little game! I've only played the final version once, but the early beta (when it was a mod for half life) I've been through many many times.

World of Warcraft, of course. And occasionally Quake 3 and Counter-Strike.

I gotta check out that remake of Half-Life!

Ah Earthbound - now there's an RPG. Bloody bizarre difficulty spikes (first boss, final dream world) and rather frustrating inventory system but absolutely tonnes of charm and great story.

Fave RPG on that system is still probably Chrono Trigger

It wasn't until 7 or 8 years after Earthbound came out that I first played it, due to a friend's recommendation. I was blown away. The story is fantastic and I love the subtle humor. I think I must have played it through at least 5 times. Still haven't had the time to break into Mother 3 yet... I'm sure its available now with a proper English translation.

Chrono Trigger is amazing. Final Fantasy 6 (labeled 3 in America) and Secret Of Mana are all RPGs I enjoyed as well. I'm a sucker for the classics. After Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis, I kind of stopped playing new video games. Definitely not up to speed with the rest of the world...

Even creepier is when it detects you're playing a pirate copy -

Currently trying to start Dark Souls - when they said the game was tough I didn't expect basically every enemy in the game to be completely life threatening, bloody hell I have no idea how to tackle this one !

Played a few of my favourite SNES games on my Android tablet a few weeks ago, like Super Metroid, Super Mario Kart, Final Fight.... memories.. they play superbly well on there actually. Heard alot of but never played Earthbound, need to give it a try sometime.

The only other games I played over the last two weeks was a couple of go's at Crysis 1, with ultra high graphics at full resolution and all that jazz. Pretty cool. Also played a tiny bit of co-op Halo 4 at my brother's. Fun, but seriously, its all same old same old :)

OK, just finished Uncharted 4. I know a lot of people dismiss this (and the whole series) for being formulaic, its scripted scenes, riddles from the kindergarten, and stupid shootouts all the time, and yes I can understand it all when it comes to parts 1-3, but THIS was just incredible. The graphics in this game are just stunning, the most beautiful and bombastic visuals I´ve ever seen in a game, story, staging and dialogues were top-notch, and the action was enthralling and subtile with lots of sneaky stealth scenes, almost Metal-Gear-Solid-like. Some very big areas that give an almost open-world-feeling with lots of hidden stuff and secrets to discover.

...aaaand that fucking brilliant Monkey-Island-Easter-Egg, that was before my eyes all the time and I didn´t recognize it! Had to visit some gaming site to realize the maybe funniest in-game-joke of all time!

Just look at this:

You cannot get closer to any hollywood-popcorn-blockbuster-feel like with this game. Anyone here played it?
