Eyesix = Plagiarism

Wow It has come to light that Eyesix's alias "A Colour You Love" is almost entirely plagiarized songs. Many seem to be by the same group, "Cities of Earth".

Now no one is sure yet if any of the Eyesix material is plagiarized but I certainly wouldn't trust any musician who releases any plagiarized music. Another potential issue is the Eyesix collaborator Faex Optim. While he may not be in the wrong here, if any material on their collaborative releases end up being plagiarized, it may not bold well for him.

This info came to me from Sparkwood Records post about taking down its 2 Eyesix albums: https://www.facebook.com/sparkwoodrecords

Cities of Earth posted about which tracks were plagiarized: http://citiesofearth.com/acyl/

If the 'Any Colour You Like' & Faex Optim collaborative release ends up having any plagiarized songs on it, it may mean the two Carpe Sonum albums are frauds as well: https://www.discogs.com/Any-Colour-You- ... se/8522726

While I do hope that the two Carpe Sonum albums are legitimate, both albums should be looked into for authenticity:

Sorry for the ramblings. This info just needed to get out there.

Looks like Faex Optim has nothing to do with Eyesix and was having some problems last year with the guy using tracks on releases without permission.

Carpe Sonum picked up where FAX left off after Namlook died - they used to distribute FAX stuff in the US. The rest of it I don't know, but one thing I've learned is, no matter how many scenes you're aware of, there are always a hundred thousand more out there. Being aware of even 1% of the independent electronic music world is almost impossible.

Some of these artists were/are part of the Twoism scene. Others, as Ross said are part of the FAX scene.

I'm hoping that more of the original artists that Eyesix stole from will learn about this and be able to ID their tracks.

I'll have a listen, see if I recognise anything.

Just heard the first album ..... jeez could they be aping BoC's style (particularly TCH-era) any closer ?! (well except Spiral Séance which sounds completely out of place tonally and production wise from the rest of the tracks). Can totally see why they'd be connected to the Twoism board !
