Petition to get BBC to publish Delia Derbyshire's music

Whether it'll work remains to be seen but surely worth a go.

Meanwhile, a website with a load of her stuff on it:

Seriously though, the Radiophonic Workshop and particularly Delia Derbyshire were some of the most forward thinking people in electronic music and sound. They and The White Noise (a band Delia was in) have been sampled by FSOL many times too.

I'm a Kiwi (complete corner of the world) and even I knew who the Radiophonic Workshop were :D BBC programs were pretty much all there were on Aussie/Kiwi TVs back in the nineties.

Im in love with Delia Derbyshire for her musical mind, this is the definition of a woman for me personally. I wonder if there are archives of her collab with the Beatles, rumor has it that Paul McCartney asked her to remake Yesterday, it would be truly interesting to listen to that. I used some of her quotes from various documentaries in my mixes for Terminal Radio :) BBC Radiophonic Workshop is a must for electronica lovers.

I used to have 'lyrics' from her track Colours as my signature on the last iteration of the forum - though I had no idea it was her, really thought it was FSOL !

It's this (from 0:45) -

And for those that haven't heard it, here's her doing proto-techno over 25 years before the genre started to hit peoples ears -
