Why bother then? If the standards are so low from the start then it seems a bit pointless. Life's too short to be releasing or listening to half-hearted efforts.

FSOL - The Wheel Of Life
Environments 4 (2012)

Hard to describe how I feel when listening to this, but it quite literally has healing properties when I have a headache, for example :) Pure bliss.

Tremendous track, up there with my all-time FSOL favourites.

np Tangerine Dream - Lily On the Beach
The more I listen to this album the more I enjoy it. I mean obviously it's absolutely horrible on every conceivable level, but somehow I still manage to get a lot from it.

THE worst is that covers album
i believe it was "volume 1" with a vol 2 that never came to fruition

pretty sure that's the only TD release i don't have =P

Under Cover Chapter One. Yes, pretty nasty, that. I don't like any of the vocal TD records really. Purgatorio was ok I suppose.

np Kluster - Kluster

Kluster / Cluster is fucking amazing, music way before it's time.
I'm honored seeing them LIVE 3 years before Moebius passed away...

Just discovered this by pure luck listening to NTS. The track Bluecid that starts @28:15 is a goddamn tsunami.

Robert Miles - Thirteen
For those who weren't aware, Miles died this week. Although he'll always be known for Children, and around here for Paths as well, it's probably his fourth and final album that really stands out. Basically a really beautiful psych rock album.

Just hearing these sad news from you :( Ironically played Children several days ago for the first time since high-school without even knowing he was gone...

Burial - Subtemple
Really incredible ambient stuff, the second track is particularly beautiful

Oh new Burial? Cool, will have a listen later. Wonder if there will ever be a new full length from him.

np: XTC - Oranges & Lemons - Steven Wilson mix

didn´t knew that maestro Steve Wilson did also recently remix Skylarking and Oranges & Lemons after he did Nonesuch. So I could not resist and had to buy them too, when I saw them lying around at the local music dealer, not very ceap exactly...
...aaaand what can I say, the new mix especially on O & L is AWESOME! I always loved the album but always found the production annoyingly shrill and somewhat lifeless, and now this sounds so fucking good. so warm, detailed and much room for every instrument, it´s like listening the thing for the first time.
