lately been listening to:

M83 - Hurry Up, We're Dreaming (Pop/Shoegaze)
Purl - A Quiet Wakening
Maps & Diagrams - Get Lost (both pretty generic ambient, but OK)
Dadavistic Orchestra - whole catalog (OK ambient, once again, nothing mindblowing)

A lot stuff from a certain industrial act called Pigface.. mostly post-2004 stuff that I've been missing out.

Yay, I finally found me a copy :D
(not that I'd been looking particularly hard - just saw it on the shop shelf and thought 'I'm having that' !)
Oh, the exclusive mix on that is fantastic.

Strung Valve Checkout from Dokument .01 is bloody lovely - probably one of my favourite tracks this year....

I've listened to all the albums probably twice.. kinda interesting, very abstract stuff. Some guy on What.cd recommended this :D

Also found out about Continuum (Vidna Obmana & Bass Communion (who's Steven Wilson from Porcupine Tree)).. pretty good, although most of these bands are WAY off the wavelenght of FSOL ;) . Bass Communion wasn't too good, but this was much better.

Oh yeah, new Death In Vegas. Has a few good songs, as usual.

Not a big fan of the Russian samples in the beginning.. English would have been better. Otherwise, pretty good stuff. Very FSOLish. Psy-ambient in a more interesting (and less cheesy) way than Shpongle IMO.

FSOL - An End Of Sorts

Cool track, especially the part around 3:45 where both percussion styles are played simultaneously, for just a moment. Why is this amazing track not on the white version (1995 reissue) of ISDN ?!

Mm, it's an incredible track - good enough to appear in two different forms on the Cascade EP and Environments 1. I think An End of Sorts is the best version though.

np: that new Orbital thing. Really quite poor.

Electric Brain Storms 4. Still can't quite choose between this and 5 as my favourite. Although 7 is already creeping in to displace both of them.
