Finally got round to listening to The Orb Featuring Lee Scratch Perry - The Orbserver in the Star House.

Wasn't expecting to like it much, thought the vocals would spoil it for me, but it's really working for me right now. I'm feeling pretty chilled out, man :)

let's see, pretty random stuff once again..

Body Count - Violent Demise (yeah... i need this sometimes :)
Rufige Kru - Memoirs Of An Afterlife (aka Goldie. Surprisingly good. The "Chances" remix is really awesome.)
Victor Love - Technomancy & Bitchcraft (dude is from Dopestars INC, industrial metal etc)
The Bird And The Bee - Recreational Love (alternative pop is the best way to describe this I guess, they're cool)

right now

Mahogany - [Connetivity!] (a mix of electronic, indie, pop and psychedelic rock etc etc etc, reminds me slightly of Stereolab maybe)
from the source flows the endless...

epitome if you learn to take the vocals for what they are then you might try these at some point

https://www.discogs.com/Lee-Scratch-Per ... ease/67847
and it's companion dubbed out release
https://www.discogs.com/Mad-Professor-L ... se/1141833

at one point LP began with this stream of conscious type of lyrical style and it took me some time to grasp and embrace
can be a nice little word trip or at times hilarious
anyway i hold these two releases dear to my heart :D

mad professor.....zeeeee best 8-)

Recently on repeat:

Personable - Oyster. Moody techno on one of my favourite labels currently running, Opal Tapes.
Aphex Twin - Cheetah. Gorgeous stuff. Took a few listens to get used to how minimal the sound is but super sweet once it sinks in. Really excited for SAW3.
HOLOVR - Trace Realm. Gorgeous mellow acid. Everything Jimmy Billingham's done as HOLOVR is wonderful.
Luca Venezia - The Last Defender. '80s film soundtrack inspired synth music on Dream Catalogue.
Huerco S. - For Those of You Who Have Never (And Also Those Who Have). Lovely lo-fi ambient.

Hm, was a bit underwhelmed by Cheetah, as with the previous ep's, instead found myself going back to the Chosen Lords, Tuss & Syro (which turns out to be the most heard Aphex album, still find that thing absolute ace) again.

Is there a SAW III coming? As an official Warp release? That would be like a wet dream coming true...

He certainly said it was coming on Soundcloud. The other records he's said are coming have been Cheetah and the Mike & Rich expanded edition so he's been true to his word so far...

And yeah, been spinning my Analord vinyls a bit too, nothing new there though!

do know it's going to be reggae dub so kind of a step away from the sound the orb created on that album
might take some digesting ;)

anyway earlier in this thread someone posted The Shamen - Arbor Bona Arbor Mala which i really like
i probably asked at the time but, is there another like this one?
the stuff with the vocals etc. like on axis mutatis is pretty meh for me

@seedy

I would still suggest to try this album (hempton manor) By listening again after some years I found it still pretty decent, maybe a bit dated and generally the more 'commercial' sound of the 90ies, but I like it :) .
