Sounds like touching up Space is still on. Just read this on Alex' blog on the orb website:

"the LSP project is only a couple of weeks away .... this is going to be the best orb album ever ! watch this space . talking of space , jimmy where's the masters ? eh ? "

Regarding the Lee Perry album, I think it's got potential to be great; I'm a big fan of his Black Ark sound and productions, so I'm kinda assuming that Alex is too, and will maybe try and sample or at least emulate some of it. That said, Mr. Perry is barking mad, so it could be just him raving and drooling about whatever comes into his head... again.

I tend to prefer The Orb when they're doing more ambienty stuff than dubby stuff - Perpetual Dawn aside - so it still doesn't appeal too much!

Heh, I'm the polar opposite - I love their dubbier stuff, so tracks like Towers of Dub, Toxygene, the whole of Okey Dokey etc...

However it turns out that what I was loving was less the main Orb front man Alex Paterson and more guest contributor Thomas Fehlmann

Ah Toxygene's good, just sometimes it gets a bit much, such as the full on reggae-fest in the middle of The Dream. Love the second half of that album, absolutely hate the first half.
To be honest, I love Adventures, UFOrb and Terrarum, but after that the only thing that's really struck me is Baghdad Batteries, which is definitely a Fehlmann heavy record. A lovely ambience on that and little hints of dub which contrast nicely. I think he's a very important member of the collective, he creates a balance from Rasta Alex sometimes.

Home and Float are definitely my two favorite Peter Broderick albums. Home is probably one of my top albums.
Also worth checking out:

Docile - 2007 (collection of solo piano pieces - recommended if you like Float)
How They Are - 2010 - (singer/songwriter release for voice and piano or guitar - much more sparse than Home)

Arvo Part. Because he writes some of the most beautiful music ever. Becoming one of my favourite composers.
Coupled with the sound of Kent 'lads' shouting outside. God I hate this part of the country.

Currently listening to this, which really deserves a listen by anyone who is remotely into modern classical type stuff. Pretty much everything Luke Howard's got on his Soundcloud is astonishing.
Amazing stuff, Couldnt sleep the other might and likes tracks were perfect for chilling me out. Really impressive.

Goldmund - The Malady of Elegance
This never struck me in the way Corduroy Road did until now, but it really clicked tonight. Beautiful stuff.
