Also having bought the vinyl on RSD at a shop I didn't get a download version. How annoying!
I saw a copy of it in my local Fopp, so it's already out by the looks of it :)

The CD is out in some places, although not at FSOLDigital yet. I am being loyal and waiting for the FSOLDigital version even though IT IS KILLING ME.

Something I don't think anybody's mentioned yet: the 'Life Form Ends' sample in 'Viewed from Far Hills'.

Do you have it? Does anyone have it yet? If so, can you confirm the tracklist. Only looking at the cover image on Boomkat it looks like there are two more tracks after Viewed from Little Boats. Gaz seemed to be under the impression that it was 24 tracks on Facebook, and Brian just mentioned something about two bonus tracks to me now...

This is awesome, two CD-only bonus tracks, makes this a must buy for everyone :P
CD will be officially released here next week.

But the tracklist is missing the two new bonus tracks? They just forgot to update it then hopefully...

Your guess is as good as anyone's. The FSOLDigital range on Spotify is currently:
From the Archives 1-3 (Enhanced Versions)
From the Archives 7
Archived 8
The Pulse EPs
Environments 4
Environment Five
The Woodlands of Old

So no real pattern.

From the Archives 1-3 (Enhanced Versions)
Are these available for purchase/download anywhere?

They're on Juno Download, along with quite a lot of other fsol stuff, including relative rarities such as the unboxed brain tracks and the Accelerator reissue bonus tracks. On beatport too, but the pricing on that site is done by comedians.

There was talk of them turning up on fsoldigital at some point in some form but it's now five years since they were released so I'm guessing that's not going to happen.

I see they've updated the tracklisting on fsoldigital to include:

23 – Half Light (Exclusive to CD Version)
24 – Perpendicular (Exclusive to CD Version)

That's tipped me over the edge into a purchase.

I think the Enhanced versions are on Beatport as well. Last I heard from Graham they were going to be on FSOLDigital at some point, but that was a couple of years ago so... who knows. They're basically the same albums but with environment bits segueing them together. They play like 'proper' albums now, but I'm so used to the originals now that I find them hard to listen to. Quite unfortunate really.

The thing I find a little odd about them is that often they are reusing bits used as bridges in Environments 4. In particular I think there's a lengthy section that bridges tracks 1 and 2 on E4 that I seem to recall gets used prominently on Volume 1.

The bit that sounds like monks chanting, isn't it?
There's definitely overlap between various records in the Archives and Environments series, which is both intriguing and frustrating at the same time. The most obvious one is the alternate version of Wookii on E1, but there are several other sounds that reappear.
