More mystical (FSOL) library music...

Post by Pandemonium »

Just when I thought I hunted down all the Dougans/Cobain library music,
a little bird tells me there are TWO more recent sets out there... (sh@#!!$#@t!??)

One is for German library music publisher, has 7 tracks,
could be credited to Dougans or Yage,
has track titles like:
- Morning Mist
- Feeling (Mix of I Felt)
- Earth Lights (Mix of Good Earth)

That's all I know and now I am pissed off - Google isn't serving me well tonight, please help me hunt down these releases :)

Oh, the second one is for UK library music publisher...

EDIT:
- library music compilations / albums / soundtracks that we know of:

- 2007 - Acid Breaks (extrememusic.com)
- 2007 - Deep Chill (extrememusic.com)
- 2007 - Psychedelic Air (extrememusic.com)
- 2007 - Dark Trance (extrememusic.com)
- 2007 - Chaos (extrememusic.com)
- 2008 - Dirty Breaks (extrememusic.com)
- 2009 - Monsterism Day & Monsterism Night (Lo Editions)
- 2012 - Live in The Studio, Remixed (Universal)
- 2013 - Nu Psychedelia (extrememusic.com)
- 2015 - Psychsploitation (Warner)
- 2016 - Jazzstep (extrememusic.com)
You're doin' too much, do less.

Is this Brian dropping hints to you on facebook? His hints tend to be completely impenetrable to search engines. Nothing's jumping out just yet from my searches, not helped by there being an Inge Dougans, and Yage often matching with "age", as in New Age....

He could of course be just pulling your leg assuming the little bird is him...

No man, he talked about these a few times,
I wanted to give up on these too,
and I kinda did, but when I told him I collected all the library stuff,
he reminded me again there are 2 more and gave me those hints :)

(And, no doubt they exist, I actually HEARD those 3 titles, 'Feeling' is fucking magnificent)

23 tracks in here. The album is called The Research Remixed, and is tracks from this Robin Appleton library remixed by Dougans/Cobain/Will White (under the name Bugbeats).

23 new tracks everyone! Because we haven't had enough lately.

I think Psychsploitation is a worthy album in its own right, really good mixes.
play this backwards and you'll hear evil messages

Great find Ross!

Awesome beats - great trippy stuff - wow, really enjoyed that.

By the way, it 11 tracks really (with alternate remixes they make 23) - and if you put the Fullversion mixes only, clocking at 32:40 - makes an awesome listen.

These were released a year ago, May 2016.

So... now we're left with ONE more library piece that is out there and we need to find it :)

'Morning Mist' from the 2016 Touched Mixlr show is an alt version of the various 'Morning Mists of Obscurity' from The Research Remixed.

This one, like Jazzstep, can be bought from iTunes, Amazon, etc. and streamed on Apple Music, Spotify, etc.

There's also a 101 track version featuring more alt. versions, isolated stings, stems, etc.
