Gaz has been randomly replying to year old comments on the FB post about the Immortal strings session. Current news on the single, five parts, 40 minutes. He also said they’re adding the final tweaks which means it’s not 100% finished, and they’re still assessing how best to release it in the current situation. Given the lead time on vinyl manufacture at the minute is at least a couple of months, promotion needs a month or two as well (last I heard they’re hoping to do a small promotional campaign this time), and the Immortal single is coming before the main album, at this rate I don’t foresee LBtHC coming out until 2021.

Gaz posted artwork proofs for the 2CD version on Facebook today. Vinyl lead time (for the Paths version) is still around 6 weeks currently so we're probably looking at an early December release.

The Amorphous Androgynous return with the symphonic, 40-minute prog space-rock concept album We Persuade Ourselves We Are Immortal. The album contains 5 epic parts, featuring the legendary Peter Hammill (the Van Der Graaf Generator) on vocals alongside a host of musicians including: Paul Weller (piano and guitar), Ray Fenwick (Spencer Davis Group/Ian Gillan) on lead guitar, Brian Hopper (Caravan/Soft Machine) on sax. The Chesterfield Philharmonic Choir and a 25-piece live orchestral string section round out this sumptuously-recorded album.
We Persuade Ourselves We Are Immortal opens with the 13-minute epic of the title track (written with Peter Hammill and Paul Weller). The themes of mortality / immortality are then musically and conceptually catapulted to the far-flung corners of the AA sonic multiverse over 40+ minutes. Channelling A Space Odyssey, the dystopian choirs and moog of Hymortality crash full-force into the John-Bonham-like drums of The Immortality Break. Meanwhile, Synthony On A Theme of Mortality lives up to its name, utilizing the classic 70s Yamaha CS80 synth before progressing to a female wailing aria against classic vintage guitar rock. The whole cosmic trip cascades finally into the harp daydream reverie, choir and romantic strings of Physically I’m Here, Mentally Far, Far Away.
The fact that 'Psych Recap' isn't mentioned at all, along with its title, suggests it may be a short interlude, maybe introducing side 2. We've heard clips of 'Synthony' and 'Physically' on the MPB version, of course.

Gaz gave the official announcement on Facebook, suggesting the 2CD set will be released at the same time as the LP. Looks like it'll be two jewel cases in an o-card like The Cartel and E6+.
Also of note, is the following quote: "The full length album LISTENING BEYOND THE HEAD CHAKRA will be released 2021 expected to be 10 tracks ( inc We Persuade )"
Which suggests that they haven't actually finished the album yet.
The potential tracklist in the calendar only has nine tracks, so something's definitely changed.

Oh I'm sure the tracklist for LISTENING BEYOND THE HEAD CHAKRA will change slightly about 10 thousand times before they release it.

Immortal will be released as two separate CDs, like the vinyl edition. Same tracklist. It's quite possible that FSOLDigital will have a 2CD pack in a slipcase, as with The Cartel and E6+, but nothing has been confirmed yet.
Everywhere is announcing this as a release by Amorophous Androgynous, amusingly.
