Is it just me or is the cd mastered louder than their regular albums? Just listen with headphones and noticed some clipping in a few tracks.

But musicaly this is just awesome. With a few more tracks added and released as a regular album this would rank among the best they released with archive/Environments imo.

Yeah Dennis, agree with you on all points, except, the production is a quiet one as usual, only on a rare few places there are in-yo-face moments that are a bit too much, but it's probably all intentional.

Just for the record - the peak levels of all tracks are:
85.6 % / 56.4 % / 79.3 % / 79.0 % / 85.3 % / 83.9 % / 85.7 % / 72.9 % / 78.2 % / 85.9 % / 85.6 %
You're doin' too much, do less.

- But if you followed the reviews up until the end of 2008, you shouldn't need more guidance - go on your own :)

- I'm glad people find that thread useful, but I make it just because I like to deconstruct things down to their building blocks (I'm an engineer, so it's kinda my job...)
It's not a matter of needing a guidance, it's that I like it, I like to listen to the album first and then read what you wrote about it and see what changes in my perception...

to me it's like a bible :)

between pande/ross/mcbpete we have everything a fan could ever want, seriously

really, there would absolutely be fsol history lost without you guys - think about that
we surely couldn't count on brian and gaz to have it all together ha!

bout to wrap up another year so as good of a time as any to thank you all for your services and any other honorable mention folks i'm likely missing. anyone that has seen this forum and the (now) blogspot are immensely more knowledgeable and in tune with FSOL.

i just play the american that talks a lot

That's why I love message boards and I hate facebook: for music, a message board is the perfect place where to gather information about the artist, because of the users :)
