We've read loads of stories about FSOL so it makes sense to package them all up and give something back to the fans. also provides much needed funds for new work i suppose. Hope there are some new stories among the familiar tales

Gaz wrote:Brother Brian popped over with a veritable goody bag of our releases the other day , mostly vinyl ... Nice to finally see (and hear ) it all on wax !
We were though , most excited to see , fresh off the printers' press , a rather sumptuous @FSOL scrapbook of sorts ' The Most Important Moments Of A Life ' that Brian's been busy compiling for months which has had us both rooting through the vaults of old pics , personal notebooks & cuttings for interesting curios and memorabilia to fill its 80 ish colour pages ... I couldn't stop thumbing its pages, tis a feast for the eyes and a fascinating portal into the FSOL metaverse ....
It was also my chance to finally hear what he's done with the album ' Life In Moments ' that accompanies it ( and more importantly the tracks and midi files I contributed toward it smile emoticon ))
What can I say ? ' our kid ' is a magician ..... Tweak the mixes hardly does it justice ?! Melodic lines now triggering a plethora of synth and a ' cathedral ' of otherworldly sound !
My mind's beginning to boggle ..... A new FSOL album is beginning to be very much an exciting proposition again ....

This is incredible news - is it true what you said Ross, that it comes out tomorrow ? Might have misread, not sure - still wishing they would put out a dvd of all the videos / live concerts etc - fingers crossed !

Brian told me it's out tomorrow so yes, hopefully!
Videos DVD - EMI weren't interested (and they hold the rights), otherwise it would have come out with the Teachings Best of CD. Which would have made that worth owning!
Live DVD - according to Brian they've lost the footage for the Athens show. Which is pretty typical FSOL.

I'm sure it will turn out in somewhere in 2025 :)

- I have a better idea, they CAN make a new LIVE show and release that one :)

Wow, seems to be "official" now, "proper new FSOL album" is coming...

Interesting to see how Gaz himself seems to distinguish between what was released so far with the Environment series and what he seems to see as a "new" FSOL album, - kind of ridiculous, when you consider the sheer amount of albums, compilations, and other stuff they released within the almost 20 years that have gone since DC, that it still seems to be possible to speak of a "true Dead Cities follow up" these days :)
