Standard "where are they now" fare. More specifically, what happened to the names behind crossover hits.

I picked up a couple of new tidbits about PNG which is always nice

they do seem to be the only ones in the article still in music as far as i can see

I continue to wage a one man war against shitty FSOL journalism. Comments section here we come.

That is a bit odd. They seem to know what's going on with the other musicians they interviewed - well, maybe they're wrong about them too, I have no idea - yet surely FSOL are releasing way more music now than any of those other people??

Yeah, disappointing crap journalism, I expected more from the Guardian, which these days is pretty much the only British newspaper with any journalistic credibility left. Nice old pic of them though, I'd not seen that one before.

It happens in pretty much every FSOL related article these days - the Amorphous stuff is high profile and the FSOL releases are pretty much under the radar. Instead of doing any research, they just write about what they've heard of.

Yeah, I suppose having to research who you're writing about might just be too much effort!

Does anyone know what kind of sales recent FSOL and AA stuff gets? And how this compares to their stuff in the 90s?

Gaz playing tricky buggers again.

Sales, I dunno, Brian seems very happy with how well they're doing (especially given the lack of promotion for most of it) so can't be too bad.

I don't think such a thing exists.

Yes, giving the Grauniad a bit too much credit there, Dell.

That's effing hilarious :D Sounds like he's given up on the guardian after he was 'misquoted' in the Noel piece.
