"Amorphous Androgynous release the third installment of their 'A Monstrous Psychedelic Bubble' compilation/remix series, 'A Monstrous Psychedelic Bubble (Exploding In Your Mind) - The Wizards Of Oz' on March 16.

It's the fourth album you lazy pillocks, if I was that slack at my job I'd be out of work. They make the Sun look like literary heavyweights.

I'll look forward to the video.

Yeah, I've seen a scan of the article on another forum and more or less all of it's on the NME website already at the link dell1972 posted...

Ok, I'm guessing this could get taken down quickly considering I had a post edited last month for posting the tracklisting for MPB 4...

Taken from an Oasis forum:

[EDIT] Doesn't work...

Ah... :? Sorry about that, didn't notice...
Some interesting stuff on Facebook though from Gaz; responding to someone asking about releasing the album without Noel :
"Only person who'd be fucked is us ....I like it though - just do a limited run of 30,000 double vinyl ha ha"
also
Omitted all heart , guts of the actual interview but hey what did we expect in a world of millionaire faux rock n roll fist a puffs ?

A personal request from Gaz, that. Somewhat out of the ordinary in general though - the only thing we don't allow is linking to illegal downloads of music. Interview scans etc. are generally encouraged!

Wonderful review smacking the new Gallagher album and mentioning a few times he should've went full-on with Amorphous Androgynous, and that the track from those sessions is the most original one :)

Just finished listening to the new Gallagher album... 'Chasing Yesterday'
- it's barely mediocre to be honest - it will pass with the teenagers I'm sure...
- lots of generic stuff and not too far from the boring years of Oasis...
- there really are Good moments, but most of it is ... blla blla blla

the two tracks taken from the AA sessions, 'The Right Stuff' & 'The Mexican' are good,
- The Right Stuff definitely the best one on the album, 'The Mexican' not so much, I kinda don't dig this...

- I don't know how these tracks got nabbed from the AA sessions, are these the originals or did NG changed them... anyway...

Apparently he re-recorded them. I don't think I'm even going to bother listening to that one at all based upon the review. Maybe I'll track down clips of the AA songs at some point, but the incentive isn't really there. The best thing for wee Noel at point is for this album to sink like a stone, might force him to do something a bit more interesting. I still feel his first solo album did so well based upon the promise (that wasn't really delivered) that he was willing to take more risks than in Oasis.

Yeah, I have no interest in this, not going to listen to it. If one day the AA collaboration sees the light of day then I'll give that a go.

So they DID get credited as co-producers for those two tracks :)

Gaz even got a credit for backing vocals :D

I really like The Right Stuff, beautiful little song. Kind of ethereal. The Mexican is an odd one, definitely an Amorphous sound in there but definitely channeled through Noel's more conservative songwriting. The 'wah wah wah' bit is very Mello Hippo-ish though, made me snigger, adds a sense of fun not heard in anything Noel's done since Definitely Maybe.

I think the issue was that "co-producers" was possibly playing down their contribution a bit - given that they got co-writing credits on Shoot a Hole Into the Sun. Mind you, it's quite possible that these are 'cleaned up', simpler versions of the Amorphous sessions. They're certainly among the most accessible sounding pieces the group have been involved with. For fans of AA they're worth a listen, but I wouldn't buy them album based on them alone.
