ha! this thread took a turn.

i've been reading a ton about the "topic" of 12/21/12 lately from terrence mckenna and peeps similar to him.

for one thing it sure seems like this planet is building up to SOMEthing over the past few years...natural disasters everywhere, revolution everywhere.

from all that i've read there are a ton of theories on what this future date represents.
there's the doomsday perspective but i've also read a lot about how the world will experience something positive like a spiritual awakening and dissolution of the ego - a new understanding etc.

def cool to think and read about i'm pretty obsessed with it lately.
not just 12/21/12 but just the idea of ancient aliens - other dimensions etc.

if anyone has any links for stuff to read please lmk!

Or perhaps just a coincidence. I don't see any evidence of thing something other than people reading too much into stuff, to be honest. Social change will come about, ecological change will come about, as it has done throughout history and indeed pre-history.

They've done a cover for tonight's Monstrous Bubble Mix. Mr. Food has kindly posted it on his site, along with the description:

"On tonight’s Solid Steel show on Strongroom Alive radio we have an exclusive 30 minute Monstrous Psychedelic Bubble mix by The Amorphous Androgynous in the guest slot. It includes a couple of exclusives as well as part of their remix of ‘The Illectrik Hoax’ which is out this coming Saturday for Record Store Day."

I wonder if it makes it onto FSOLDigital, if even for a short time...

This "EP" is amazing.. it's been living in my headphones and I usually listen to the AA tracks again when I get home. Energetic, super-psychedelic, EPIC.. those are the words to describe this. No matter if you're into prog rock, electronica, or just damn good music in general, this is a sure shot.

This is also scary to listen to on a sunny day (like the most recent AA mixes). Try it ;)
from the source flows the endless...

the AA part is this one:

AMORPHOUS ANDROGYNOUS mix
Link Wray – Switchblade (Passport)
Amorphous Androgynous/Gil Scott Heron – Ripped Off (What About Now) (White Label)
Black Sun Ensemble – Dove Of The Desert (Slowburn)
Pink Floyd – Obscured By The Sun (Harvest)
Mike Oldfield – On Horseback (Virgin)
Yoko Ono/The Plastic Band – Touch Me (Apple)
Noel Gallagher – Shoot A Hole Into The Sun (Sour Mash)
Ian Kneel – Kingdom Of Birds (White Label)
Dj Food & Amorphous Androgynous – The Electric Images (In my Mind Never Die) (Ninja Tune)

BTW, the last track on Nmesh above link - Expansions, one of THE BEST tracks recorded ever! A truly timeless piece (Lonnie Liston Smith - Expansions [1974] [Album])

Crikey, On Horseback by Mike Oldfield! Reminds me of being a kid. What a lovely, silly song.
Going to grab this now.

What the fuck is 'Obscured by the Sun' by Pink Floyd? Don't recognise that title at all.

Its probably a mix of Obscured by Clouds and one of the 5 Floyd tracks that mention The Sun :)

BTW has anyone managed to download this? any link?

They've stuck it on Soundcloud now, and it appears to be downloadable:

" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Oh, and Obscured by the Sun is the title track Obscured by Clouds, with a bit of familiar sugar sprinkled over the top of course.

Funny to hear Mike Oldfield on a MPB-Mix. I love the Ommadawn album. Fits quite well.
Ian "Kneel" is Ian Neal I presume? Nice mix again.

I'm very confused on how you guys have heard the entire EP so far.... I've done research, can't find a digital copy anywhere. Found one site that had some download links, but the files where all removed. Although I would LOVE to purchase this the legit way, I want to hear it NOW! I'm gonna venture off to some record stores now, in what will probably be a failed attempt to obtain either of these releases. Wish me luck.
