"It'll turn up in five years time as the great lost album."

I expect a huge boxset 'the collected great lost recordings by amorphous androgynous from 2007 to 2012' turning up unexpectedly next year or so. Along with a 'proper new FSOL Dead Cities follow up', hehe... ;)

Did you read the interview? He wasn't criticising the album for being like that, he just said that it means the mix is more important on an album that is trippy and not verse-chorus, and he wasn't happy with the mixes...

Yes Ross, I read the whole interview. I dont know man, I sometimes might be exaggerating over Noel, but its his behavior that irritates me. Dont misunderstand me, even though i criticize him heavily about the Amorphous thing, i would be a liar if i said that i didnt listen to Oasis in high school, or that i dont like many of his Oasis songs.

Maybe im oversensitive about it, because music means so much to me. But what i feel from all his interviews Ive read about his collaboration with Amorphous, is that his opinion about the result of this collaboration with the guys is mostly negative, than positive. And Im just annoyed by his attitude, FSOL do not deserve that.

Yes, that's completely fair, it's just best to understand what he's criticising before letting it get to you. Also, it's probably important to remember that in this whole thing, we're discussing music we haven't even heard...

Except for "shoot a hole into the sun" which I liked very much and the other thing I forgot the title, that dancey thing in a more electronic vein that was also not bad at all. I was quite curious about how the whole thing would finally sound, can't really imagine that it turned that bad during mixing it as ' ol' Monobrows' statements suggest.

I really wonder what AA is about at the moment. It's been a while since the last lifesign. Seems that FSOL is by far their most active project again these days.

I guess, eventually whatever is to happen will happen, if not, there is nothing we can do about it. And I think, with all the forthcoming FSOL releases everybody is even going to forget about it, since there is no intention and interest to make a release of whatever they have done together.

"Shoot A Hole Into The Sun" is marvelous, i love this one a lot. AA did a wonderful job here, at times it reminds me of Mad Season, 70's style violins and psychedelia are very nice too and there is definitely some Pink Floyd and Beatles feel periodically. Its quite a long track, 8:00 minutes long, and there are many elements constantly blending into each other, lovely.

Whoever said this would turn up again in 5 years was way off the mark. Shoot A Hole Into The Sun was great so I would still like to hear some of the tunes from the sessions, but the way he trashed the album has tainted it a bit. The AA deserved better.

"Do you know when I was on last time and I was telling you I found this CD in a sock draw of an album I did? I've been listening to that recently and thought there might be some stuff in that, so I've been in the studio picking it apart and seeing what in there - some of it's pretty good actually - so I've been doing a bit of recording."
The saga that never ends.

NG is like Salieri in the "Amadeus"-movie from Milos Forman. He is obviously capable of noticing the stellar quality of Gaz'n Brians recordings, but he's also aware of the fact that he will never catch up to their level of genius in this live anymore, so he goes like: "erm, SOME stuff on this is actually pretty good, yeah...":)

He just can't seem to get over it...

There's a High Flying Birds best of coming out soon. Seems a bit premature, after only three albums, but Noel does like an ego stroke. Can't help feeling this would have been the perfect time to throw in a rarities disc with at least some of the Amorphous material, but it seems the only unreleased tracks are demos and a couple of new recordings. Seems increasingly unlikely we'll ever hear this.

Absolute Radio are doing a weeklong 24 hour a day Noel Gallagher station called Absolute Radio Noel, from 11th to 18th June, and apparently exclusive material will be played. I wonder whether he'll throw some Amorphous sessions in there. It'll probably be reported if he does.
