Post by ronniedobbs »

As far as I know were the 90s isdn shows the only transmissions to the US? I know I'm not the only one who would travel to see Gary and AA play live, or even DJ. I know they perform on the festival circuits in Europe, but damn it would be awesome to see either of them onstage in my lifetime.

I doubt it thay will tour as FSOL ever again...

Your only hope could be - if the Noel+AA album makes some commercial boom,
and they make another one and maybe tour USA :)
I read what I've written just now and I just smiled for 5 minutes :)
But hey, everyone can hope...

I'm sure Gary could get invited to DJ at events like Coachella if their management pursued it. Yeah it might take "of Future Sound of London" on the placard, but I gaurantee peeps would show up! Imagine Bonnaroo with the cosmic sounds of Gaz flowing out from the speaker stacks.

I went to Coachella in 2004 because they were meant to be playing... sadly the festival 'confirmed' it before the band had properly decided and obviously it never happened...
Beck was good, though.

I probably complained about the weather. I have a very low temperature threshold (anything over 20C and I start suffering - it was 40 in the shade at Coachella, so not ideal).

lol i've no idea how C translates to F but i'm assuming you are saying it was too hot

when i went there it was october so the weather was really quite nice. got pretty hot but it's a very DRY heat which we surely don't have in my area.

my area is basically a sauna and it's pretty hard to believe that south of me the humidity is even WORSE

that's the killer for me - humidity!

20C = 68F
40C = 104F

And yeah, the dry heat was refreshing - I'm used to humidity here in the UK too.

ah yes.....haha 68F is almost a little too cool for me. I prefer 70-80F then again I live 10 minutes from the ocean and 5 min from the bay so relief is always just around the corner and we like a little bit of heat to come with our splish splashing summers ;)

104F out there is completely doable for me.......we get enough of 98F with KILLER humidity that a few extra degrees in dry heat would be just fine.

lol....speaking of where i live.....do yall know about the show "Jersey Shore"??
i live 10 minutes from where that show is filmed......and trust me....the people you see on this show are NOT from my area at all.....they are the tourists that come here every year and help fuel our local economy. we have quite a love/hate relationship with those folks lol

Mm, it all comes down to temperatures you're comfortable with. I very rarely complain about the cold, for example. Autumn and winter in the UK are good with me!
