Got the My Kingdom CD last night. I haven't heard any samples of it, so I'm really looking forward to giving it a listen (hopefully today!)

Strangely, i never doubted for a second, that the clipping drum sounds on Path 8 are intentional.

Because when i first heard the digital version of Environments 3 i was sure, that the glitching sounds on the opening 'Viewed from...' track are a definite mastering error, because they sound exactly like the noises i get when a CD-rip with Audiograbber went wrong (this happens a lot on my cheap laptop :) )

Listened to My Kingdom Re-imagined a couple of times - absolutely love it! I'm feeling spoiled by FSOL at the moment with Ramblings 2 and this; such good stuff!

I've played this to a few friends - it's strange (not surprising, but a bit odd) - they ALL liked Populate a lot.
Like, it's their favorite track of the year! :)

Finally managed to get hold of the vinyl and flac version from FSOLDigital, on my first listen through now. I am really loving this, it was well worth the wait to hear it. It flows so well and it's a very worthy addition to the original EP, in fact, I might have to do a mammoth back to back listen.

I'm not sure if it's been brought up in the thread yet but, does anything think that the Dead Cities version of MK is Path 6?

Path 6 has been discussed and various options were suggested: album version, ISDN Show live version, The Empty Land, the edit on Teachings From the Electronic Brain.

Ah, plenty of candidates then.

Seeing how Path 7 is based very much on the album version, I'm pretty much convinced that Path 6 is the album version.

I really liked this release. The quality of the music is awesome and has so many key traits from their 90s releases too. The tracks all mix and segue into one another. But done so subtley, like one track is part of the next. A variety of ambient tracks and environments as well as chunkier beats and electronic sounds. Easily feels like a part 2 to the original EP. My only gripe is that it wasn't long enough, and leaves me wanting that 'proper' FSOL album even more.

Album version is NOT Part 6 - confirmed by The Man.
What/where is part 6 - remains to be seen...

Maybe Path 6 will be on Environment 7.

Royal mail arrived today. Came with a nice little limited print of the cover artwork.

Funny thing is that the album seemed to be available in shops here for a few days already. When the A:E:V CD came out on fsoldigital it took several weeks before it was in stock here at the usual local music-shops. Such a shame again, there seems to be no PR for it, this thing should easily follow the success of the original EP and Dead Cities, it's at least that good in my opinion. Pretty perfect blend of that classic 96' sound, their recent Environments-style and some jazzy amorphous bits.

I was thinking that part 6 would be inside the promo CD ( https://www.discogs.com/The-Future-Soun ... ease/97760 ), mediamix or P4 were edits, where part 4 has 20 seconds more than the original MX / CD-single
( https://www.discogs.com/The-Future-Soun ... lease/2516 )

Media Mix is just Part 5. Part 4 is the same as the standard single but without the opening section being located in the same index as Part 3.
