Terminal Window 3

Ok, as the acid trip idea seems to have been the most popular, let's go with that. It moves away from the original concept a bit, but no problems there. Soooooo yeah, something pretty psychedelic/trippy, starting off mellow and going into craziness, perhaps a bit of a loss of control (I have the per...

Re: Terminal Radio

First of all, I'll put my hand up against using advertising, plugs, whatever. Turning it into a commercial radio venture really doesn't seem in the spirit of things. In terms of money, I'm sure a few of us can put enough cash together for a better Soundcloud account, I reckon those who've expressed ...

Re: What are you listening to?

Not hated, just 'found a bit pointless'. I still don't like it that much, although the title track is lovely. Hyperborea now, much better.

Re: Terminal Radio

Bloody hell, the number of tracks in the DVNT mix... how?!

Will attempt to give this a listen, fingers crossed for a Soundcloud version appearing soon though!

Re: Bubble on vinyl?

That first one is quite different to the rest, the band were still in Dead Cities mode at the time so it's quite dark in places and considerably more electronic than the others. It's also before a lot of their obscure discoveries so there's a lot more 60s stuff on it. It's by far my favourite of the...

Re: Kettel and Secede album on FSOL Digital

Woah, never thought I'd see these guys on FSOLDigital. The band have contacts outside the obvious circles, it seems. For those who are unfamiliar, check out Secede's Bye Bye Gridlock Traffic, an incredible album. You can't really go wrong with Kettel, although my favourite thing he's done is his rem...

Re: What are you listening to?

Currently spending a week with my parents and only had room for a handful of CDs, so this week has been, on rotation... Talk Talk - Laughing Stock Roddy Woomble - Listen to Keep XTC - Skylarking Mike Oldfield - Heaven's Open Chris Watson - El Tren Fantasma The latter comes highly recommended to anyb...

Yes, I'm the only Kentish poster, and my kitchen is fucking tiny and in a rented flat, so you'll be getting no sales here.

I try not to be round Gillingham way.

I reckon this is all because I happened to mention I live in Maidstone in another thread.

We've had far less concrete news here before so I think it warrants its own thread really!

Re: FSOL interview in Global Techno (1999)

A bit more, from a recent interview (from here: http://theelectricunderground.net/eltel/wordpress/?p=5200): Which artists would you still like to work with & why? Renaat: “Wow! There are so many, too many to mention, such a long list of people. I am hoping to do something with my friends the Fut...

Re: FSOL interview in Global Techno (1999)

I would say 'working on a new album' might mean Environments 5 (or even a new Amorphous one - it's about time, five years since The Peppermint Tree!). But I can't imagine anybody talking on behalf of a label like R&S would mention something if it was entirely speculation - that sounds quite prom...

Re: What's the worst thing the guys did in your opinion?

In terms of artistic missteps, I'd definitely say the final mix of The Isness. Absolutely no improvement over the Abbey Road version at all, and a complete butchering of Galaxial. In terms of individual tracks, I've never enjoyed the Hallucination version of Yage, and I find a few archived things li...
