Re: Gear talk...

After all this time I still know nothing about mixing, which I suspect is, subconsciously, the reason I decided to focus on 'lo-fi' music...

Re: Pande-reviews: 1995.1 (BBC Essential Mix 2 + 3 remixes)

Given the origins of the track as 'Transsexual', Wendy Carlos would make more obvious sense, yes. I vaguely remember discussions about this waaaaaay back in the day of the FSOLList (as Tim mentioned), but it's mostly lost in my memory now.

Re: Pande-reviews: 1995.1 (BBC Essential Mix 2 + 3 remixes)

I think I've listened to Fuct Up Soup in its entirety... twice. Really, really not my thing at all. Wonderful work on these tracklists by the way - when the site gets its restructure/destruction/overhaul I'll pop all the new finds in - might wait until you've finished this thread then I won't have t...

Re: Pande-reviews: 1994.5 (ISDN: The Album, Far-Out Son VHS-

It has been suggested before that Hot Knives is a drastic reworking of Chile of the Bass Generation. And that pink cover I made as a joke on the FSOL @ 20: ISDN thread. 1994 is a staggering year for music, it's incredible how many artists released what is regarded by many/most as their high point. A...

Re: Identify the instrument.

Yes, it's some sort of pipe instrument like that. I've often wondered where that particular sample came from, it's really beautiful. That mid-section of ISDN is some of the most haunting music they've ever made.

Re: Terminal Radio

Ah awesome. I'll add to the thanks for putting in the cash for this - much appreciated!

(Also, any chance you could fix the tracklist? Would be nice for Impurfekt and myself to get any credit for our mixes rather than the other way around!)

Re: The Cartel

The albums are meant to play out like soundtracks or mixes rather than straight albums - they're credited as Monstrous Bubble Soundtracks, not Amorphous Androgynous albums.
