Electric Brainstorm 7
ebs7 has just appeared on fsoldigital, featuring a few familiar faces such as Seafar, Second thought, fool, Yage, Riz Maslen etc! Shorter one at 65 minutes. Ps. Anyone noticed the funky splash screen you get when going in via http://www.futuresoundoflondon.com" onclick="window.open(this.hr...

Re: Noel Gallagher/AA album thread
Noel's everywhere at the moment, I seriously think they've cloned him. He's even been on Newsnight and Radio 4 in the last few days. Probably for the best it doesn't get released on fsoldigital, I could imagine that going badly wrong, the server falling over in seconds, it getting released late etc....

Re: Noel Gallagher/AA album thread
And a bit more from Noel on working with Gaz and Brian. This seems to be from The Quietus, but I can't find it on there. I like the bit where he realises he's working with the maker of Stakker Humanoid: http://stopcryingyourheartoutnews.blogspot.com/2011/10/high-flying-birds-musical-kettles-and.html...

Re: AA albums in the booklet
I guess the most bizarre thing is that ever since it was announced they'd done an album with Noel Gallagher, it's been an almost complete blanket silence. I guess they never were overly big on courting fame anyway. Maybe they're just very busy right now and have other similar production jobs in the ...

Re: Noel Gallagher/AA album thread
And a little bit more info on this in this month's Mojo, with a bit of extravagant storytelling from old Monobrow. http://stopcryingyourheartoutnews.blogspot.com/2011/09/more-on-noel-gallaghers-project-with.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; "Noel Gallagher has been s...

This is a mildly mental cover. Borderline evil.

Re: Noel Gallagher/AA album thread
It seems to change on a daily basis. Just seen a slightly different comment on the AA collaboration album: 4 songs on both albums now. I have to say the two versions of If I had a Gun sound wildly different. "There's more to come, with Gallagher about to sign off on a musically ambitious projec...

Re: Noel Gallagher/AA album thread
Interesting stuff. Very Amorphous sounding. So the album is going to effectively be 3 feature length singles...

Re: FSOL merch......
The t-shirt I have has this on the front, though I think it just says ISDN at the bottom. http://musparade.com/albums/big/158/78827.jpg It has 3 dates on the back, New York Kitchen, Radio 1 Essential Mix London, and VPRO Netherlands. It is difficult to know the size of their fanbase now isn't it? I ...

Re: FSOL merch......
I have actually got an ISDN Show tour t-shirt that turned up on ebay last year. Not sure how legit it was but it seems good quality (i.e. fruit of the loom shirt that hasn't disintegrated, design that hasn't worn off). Oh, look here, I'm really not sure how legit this one is: http://www.redbubble.co...

Re: Interviews needed
I've got the flash version of the Freeze magazine Interview that came with the freeze mix download if that is good enough? Not sure I still have a copy of the Mojo January 2010 interview still I'm afraid. Thought they had it on the Amorphous facebook page but it seems not.

Re: The Life and Times of FSOL
It's been pretty impressive so far, and has included some stuff that somehow passed me by. For example, the original Amorphous B-Side Sky-scraper... For some reason I assumed there was an album track on the single... I could argue that whoever is doing it missed out Metropolis from the alter-egos se...

Re: Noel Gallagher/AA album thread
Absynthe is a funny one to quote, isn't that still illegal in many countries? Never tried it. What I did/took in the past is a far cry from what I do now. I don't regret any of it, but wouldn't actively recommend anything. Psychedelics for example tend to test your mental robustness, and that's not ...

Re: Noel Gallagher/AA album thread
I'm inclined to agree with much of this. I think when I first heard the Lifeforms EP for example it seemed to hint to all kinds of stuff from the past. I initially thought Path 2 was a modern remix of Electronic Number 1 by Hawkwind, minus the clanger noises... but then there were all sorts of stuff...

Re: Noel Gallagher/AA album thread
His first single was a bit predictable, but I have to say I'm really impressed with the new one, aka what a life. It's difficult keeping up with his interviews to see what if anything his says about the Amorphous record. I've heard he got quite used to hearing Gaz saying "booooring" to a l...
